• In the 2016 live performances of Boombayah Jisoo has gone flat on her head voiced C5- Bb4's during the pre chorus. That's not really accurate enough to say she was a bad vocalist Bc the dances were quite involved.
• She has since improved a lot as she could hit the C5 in mixed voice even during live performances, with the except of the recent performance where she voice cracked, but then imitated Jennie struggling with her mic (which was adorable btw so I'll give it to her).
• During Stay (Korean version) she had a quite nasally, and airy presence in her voice during the pre chorus, but during her live performances she was consistent in terms of pitch
• Overall Jisoo knows her strengths and how to use her voice and I think the rookie occupation has since worn off her, which was what I believe was a factor in her pitchiness during 2016. She has shown great improvement in harmonies and vocal ability in 2017 and for that I congratulate her
• Jisoo's vocal type is most certainly a Soprano

• As the 2nd lead vocalist in Blackpink, Jennie has a very powerful, chesty voice which in the long run will help her greatly as a vocalist
• She has the most stage experience in the group as she was featured in GD's Black, Lee HI's Special, and Seungri's GG Be.
•Jennie is possibly the most stable in the group vocally. I have yet to see her go majorly off pitch in a performance
• During their Disney song VLive Jennie sang with Lisa, and Rosé; although, Jennie was hard to hear and I wonder if she sang at all once Lisa and Rosé picked things up. That being said, if she did sing she most likely was in a very soft head voice.
• In the performance of BigBang's Loser, I kind of noticed a third voice harmonizing with Jisoo and Lisa in the chorus, so I wonder if that was Jennie. If so, I can't say much of it but after listening to it multiple times it was a bit pitchy, as maybe they hadn't rehearsed the part as much. Nevertheless, Jennie rapped primarily in the song so there's not a lot to go off of for that performance.
• During their performances of Stay, Jennie used primarily mix when hitting the high notes, but her "Stay's" in the verse seemed slightly pushed, as well as her part in the chorus possessed a throaty aspect to it
• In AIIYL she does hit a C#5 in the chorus with slight push. She also hits an F3 in the verse, as does Jisoo, with relative ease
• Being their Main rapper I don't think Jennie really prefers singing to rapping, as in her harmonies in Loser and softness in the VLive I think she still isn't fully confident in her singing abilities
• I think Jennie is a Soprano

Rosé
• It's quite obvious why Rosé is number one. Being the main vocalist she definitely possesses a nice quality to her voice
• It's well known that Rosé does not have the best technique in the industry but her voice is still very sweet and pleasant to the ear.
• While Rosé does have a very nasally voice she does not show a lot of breathiness in their live performances, which does mean she does know how to control her voice. (I think? Don't quote me on that) That being said she does often go off pitch slightly when singing Stay or in Loser
• Rosé herself has recently admitted she still has a bit of stage fright every now and then, which could factor in to her going off pitch, but having bad technique does mean that she does not possess correct breath support which also aids in the fact that she may sound out of breath in some performances
• Rosé's voice suits the ballad type quite well but also the upbeat material BlackPink usually does. If she were to ever do a solo song I think she'd opt for a ballad with guitar, as she has said that she played a lot of acoustic songs as a trainee.
• Rosé does know how to use her voice to an extent, she does hit B4 in the bridge of PWF and a C#5 in AIIYL, as well as a Eb5 in Boombayah. Her lack of breath support does mean she has a lack of control but I think she knows how to use her voice very well, as there are rare occasions where her voice has cracked
• I'd say Rosé has a good head voice/falsetto range although we've not heard much of it
• Her lower range however might be lacking as her G#3 in Stay was very breathy during performances
• Being my bias in BlackPink I do love Rosé very much and I do think her voice is lovely, but it's undeniable that she does not possess the greatest technique. I do however think her voice suits her so maybe it's a good think her voice is the way it is

Rose, blackpink
vocal tone: very unique and beautiful tone. when she sings you can definitely associate her with her voice and that's a really good thing in the industry, being able to stand out and be remembered.
support: she can't really hit solid and supported high notes. she lacks technique which is probably the most obvious reason why.
strain: as said before from what i've seen she isn't able to hit solid high notes without straining her voice.
range: i don't think i've heard enough of her singing to actually establish a range for her to base this off. from what i've heard she has a pretty average range for her being a mid soprano (?). i could be wrong please correct me on that if you know.
technique: rose lacks a lot of technique if i'm going to be honest. she tends to sing through her nose and lacks support. however this isn't uncommon, especially in yg groups where they focus more on tone then on actual technique. she is not a bad singer but not a good one. if i'm going to be honest she'd be probably a bit below average.

jihyo, twice
vocal tone: jihyo has a pretty standard tone. i'm not saying that she doesn't have a good tone it's just a standard, average sounding tone.
support: jihyo, when singing tends to strain to hit high notes. it sometimes tends to sound like she's screaming but seeing as she's only been an idol trainee for about two years and jyp's not the best training agency technique wise.
strain: as said before jihyo does tend to strain a lot. in 'cheer up' her high note sounds a bit screamy and you can tell it's not in her vocal range. jihyo is a pretty average singer whilst in her vocal range she's a bit better but out of her range or high note wise she's not the best.
range: again, jihyo has a pretty average range. probably a light or lyrical soprano if i'm not mistaken (second soprano???). she isn't able to hit high notes that well but she is decent in her vocal range.
technique: jihyo has technique but just not a lot. i'm impressed with where she's gotten in two-three years but she may want to learn more technique to hopefully help her reach high notes easier seeing as she's one of the only ones in twice that can hit stable high notes.
