Registers
Lower: Arguably the most developed lower register amongst tenors in K-pop, idol or not. With a very forward full tone and developed cord connection, he’s able to sing with a lot of ease even in the second octave.
Middle: One of the better mixed voices amongst tenors, Chen is able to consistently produce resonance without issues and brings support even as high as A4. Despite that, strain is still obvious and present above A4, where he sings with a high larynx and a tight throat.
Upper: Generally airy and disconnected, good placement can be present in his falsetto. However Chen has yet to produce a connected sound in his upper register, not singing either with a head voice nor with proper support in this register.

Agility
While not his forte, Chen has seen an improvement in this area. During EXO’s debut era, Chen’s runs would often be sloppy and done without precision or accuracy, often sliding from note to note or simply becoming more tentative and unclear when approaching runs, such as in “Fool“, “The Last Time“, “Open Arms” and “빨래.” However he has learned to sing with more accuracy and precision as time went on. Despite not being as skilled in this area as Kyungsoo, he has shown to be able to handle runs with more ability than previously shown.

Musicianship/Musicality
Chen is a vocalist who knows his strengths, often using his lower register rather than mixing above B4 when given the choice. He never truly approaches things in a very show offy way, often attempting to keep true to the original versions of his covers. This helps him always deliver songs lyrically and musically rather than trying to do things he’s unable to do. When singing solos he avoids messy performances and favors the dynamic delivery of a song over adding runs and high notes that he could most likely not sing properly.

Registers
Lower register: Shows support down to C#3, with one or two supported C3s. Anything below this is unsupported, where the vocal cords become disconnected and the sound becomes unstable, airy and quiet.
Mixed register: Bright and Resonant. Able to retain support and resonance up to G#4/A4. Anything above is strained, however. Generally a healthy and balanced full mix is used around his supported range, which then becomes very heady and pushed as he ascends above his supported range.
Upper register: The most developed falsetto in EXO, able to produce relaxed strain free notes up to F5 consistently, has shown lots of improvement in this area in relation to pitch and control, as well as transitions.

Second most agile voice in EXO. Decent precision and pitch, though sloppy runs do occur. He has shown a large improvement in this area, showing good precision and note separation and simpler runs and scales, as opposed to earlier in his career where pitch in general would be an issue for him and vocal runs would result in him sliding through notes without a direction or clear idea of the vocal run he’d attempt.

BlackPink Vocal Analysis

Lisa
• The reason Lisa is 4th place as of vocals is because she has not been given very many lines in the BP songs we've heard. That being said, there's no way to really fully analyze her; although, I can say that she likely has the lowest voice of the members, as seen in AIIYL.
• I can say her mixed voice is not completely developed as she could not hit the C#5's in the chorus of AIIYL in mixed voice but rather in head voice. That's not to say she's a bad vocalist tho, it simply means she just hasn't explored her mix very much yet.
• In their live stages of Stay, I heard Lisa go flat on a few notes, but she wasn't given many lines to begin with so I can't tell how good her voice is.
• In their VLives earlier this year when they sang Disney songs I noticed she did exceptionally well while singing. Although primarily in head voice she hit the notes nonetheless
• I believe it's safe to assume she is most comfortable in her head voice/falsetto based on the footage we've seen
• I remember Rosé, (or Jisoo, correct me if I'm wrong), say that Lisa is the best at impromptu harmonization
• Examples are from one of their Vlives where she and Rosé sang Shape of You and Lisa harmonized very well. Of course I'm assuming it was impromptu harmonies, but even if it wasn't she's still very good at that
• Her technique isn't bad and she knows her voice and what it can do; although not a lot of material to go off of
• I think Lisa's vocal type could be light lyric Mezzo-soprano
