My two bits review on 'The Blossom' was sad and tragic. I like this show because its only a two persons love affair and not a triangle love affair. Less confusing and pretty straight forward. The main male actor is popular singer - Henry Huo and the main female actress is Zhao Dan.
Just a brief storyline:
In the show, Huo Zun is Usengki Ken and Zhao Dan is Mo Xi. They met at the water village town which carried a good taste of Kunqu Opera. Both of them fall in love but did not make it in the end. In between there was hatred and revenge. When Usengki Ken was awakened by the boatman and he realised it was just a dream but it was a DEEP dream. The signature words 'Flowers fall on my shoulders but your heart fell on me".
I just watched Peony Pavillion and could only said its also tragic and sad. A different kind of storyline too.
Another MV of Peony Pavillion which interest me:
I realised the background music is similar to HZ's movie but a little haunting!
I must said Huo Zun acted pretty well but Zhao Dan acted well too. Also Huo Zun's smattering of Japanese language sounded so challenging. I find the story too short and wish it could be longer. I gathered the story is like eating a dumpling and before I could find the taste, the show is already over? Maybe they might want to consider doing a sequel. What attracted me most is the scenery, the children, the opera school, the opera clothes and the elegant Kunqu singing. Beautiful indeed... Spectacular.....
Well good acting from Huo Zun. I expected more to come...

Recollect Henry Huo's first concert at Nanjing in 2014.
Huo Zun's very first concert in Nanjing... It was hold in a stadium with no frills and fancies. Just a guitar, piano and a erhu. Such well received by the crowd (local & foreign fans) and it was really a great success for him.
His very SPECIAL guest star none other than his own beloved mum and they sang a lovely song "Shi Song Hong Jun'. Lovely indeed! He sang many many songs. A beautiful night indeed!
