✰ Details of Severe Tropical Cyclone Errol 29U at 8:00 am AWST:
Intensity: category 4, sustained winds near the centre of 185 kilometres per hour with wind gusts to 260 kilometres per hour.
Location: within 30 kilometres of 15.0 degrees South, 118.9 degrees East , 485 kilometres northwest of Broome and 520 kilometres west northwest of Cockatoo Island .
Movement: south at 6 kilometres per hour .
Severe Tropical Cyclone Errol is Category 4 and moving slowly south. It will turn to the east southeast during, taking it towards the west Kimberley coast.
Errol is expected to start quickly weakening later today decreasing in strength to Category 2 during Friday, then to Category 1 overnight Friday and below tropical cyclone strength as it crosses the Kimberley coast early Saturday morning.
