Intensity: tropical low, sustained winds near the centre of 55 kilometres per hour with wind gusts to 85 kilometres per hour.
Location: within 55 kilometres of 12.5 degrees South, 125.9 degrees East , 215 kilometres north northwest of Kalumburu and 365 kilometres north northeast of Kuri Bay .
Movement: south southwest at 10 kilometres per hour .
Tropical Low 29U is located to the north-northwest of Kalumburu and is moving south-southwest. During Sunday it is expected to slowly strengthen and start moving to the west-southwest, while remaining offshore from the Kimberley coast. There is a small risk it moves further south bringing it closer to the coast.
On Monday it is likely to reach tropical cyclone strength and be taking a more westerly track, taking it away from the Kimberley coast. Increased rain, wind and wave impacts are expected along the northwest Kimberley coast during today and on Monday, possibly continuing into early Tuesday if the system takes a more southward track than forecast.
