Hong Kong (Agencies) - Two of Asia's hottest pop acts, Thailand's Tata Young and South Korea's Rain, are to help highlight the fight against rampant human trafficking in Asia in an MTV-backed initiative on Wednesday.
"How could people do this to each other?" Thai pop sensation Tata Young said by phone from Bangkok.
"To hear all these stories of children and women and men going through human trafficking and exploitation, it hurts me so bad," added the confident, brassy 26-year-old, whose skimpy outfits and best-selling albums have led to her being dubbed Asia's Britney Spears.
Young will help host shows and documentaries on youth music channel MTV which is aiming to raise awareness of what has been described as a "tragic form of modern day slavery" in collaboration with the U.S.-based Agency for International Development (USAID).
The International Labour Organisation (ILO) says economic disparities in Asian countries such as Myanmar, Laos and Cambodia fuel the trafficking of children and women towards Thailand.
Australia, Hong Kong, China, Japan, Korea and Taiwan are also considered major destinations by the ILO for the trafficking of prostitutes from Indonesia and the Philippines.
Human trafficking is a major global problem, particularly in Asia and Africa. The United Nations estimates 2.5 million people are currently coerced into forced labour or prostitution in a trade worth $7-10 billion annually.
Another Asian star, South Korea's King of Pop, Jung Ji-Hoon -- better known as Rain, will also help MTV publicise the cause.
"Law enforcement and community level efforts to stop human trafficking have been hampered by the public's lack of awareness about the severity of this problem," said Olivier Carduner -- USAID's Regional Mission Director for Asia, in a press release.
Young, who was born to an American father and Thai mother, said it was important that Asian stars did more to back social causes -- as Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie did in the West.
As for her musical plans -- Tata is hoping to release a Thai language album at the end of the year that would include a homage to Thailand's revered monarch -- King Bhumibol Adulyadej.
"I kind of want to sit down and write a song for him ... about the love he has for Thailand and the love all of us have for him," she said.

歌手SEA是很肯定和爱惜雨的一位前辈歌手
她半开玩笑地说上面一段话，
她的愿意是要说，雨成名前后做人没有丝毫变化，还是一样地谦逊。
有些亲把这一段引申理解为，在礼仪之邦韩国必须猫着腰走路，而且还要“晕”了^^
作为翻译者，在这里道歉！
非专业毕竟是非专业，翻译出现这么大的偏差，让看的人也有这么大的反差出现。
“猫着腰”的韩文原意是上身前倾，弓着身走路...
昨天翻译时，找不到合适的词，就用了“猫着腰”
现在想，应该翻“弯着身”就好了~~~

晶晶亲，知道亲已经做好了ps图，这张能不能重做一次，多谢了~~~
不久前在电视台看到雨，脖子直挺着，走路不知有多傲慢。
刚开始没认出是雨，还以为是人气新艺人，对他的印象不是很好。
后来得知那人是雨之后，就想，人真的变了。
因为雨平时与人气、名声不符，
走路时不显威风，肩膀不用力，弯着身走路。
一旦碰到人，就深鞠躬问好。
不过，了解过后才明白，他那傲慢的走姿原来是拍摄的要求。
拍摄一结束，他又回到从前的弯着身的雨了。

每个人都带着一些“条条框框”来到这个世界
这个“条条框框”包括，特定的国家、民族、家庭以及宗教、文化等背景
就好象每个生命是一个水滴，注定要通过某条江河流入大海，完成它的生命旅程
而这些江河就好象是承载无数生灵的国家、民族、宗教、文化等“条条框框”
流入大海的江河有千千万万，从东西南北不同的方向流向大海，殊途却同归
对于海水来说，这些所有的江河无论它的大小、方向如何，都是同样珍贵的存在
某条江河成不了衡量其他江河的标准或尺子，因此，需要彼此尊重和爱护
希望与宝宝结缘的所有人，借助这位天使璀璨的羽翼，跨越“条条框框”去了解去包容更多与我们风土民俗迥异的陌生的人群，发现更多的美好和感动~~~

The following is an account from a sweet friend of mine and fellow Rain-USA member who is currently in Berlin. She hasn't seen Bi yet, but this account is still pretty cool. And cross your fingers that she and her friends will get to see him somehow today! ~~ Debbie

"Hi all, how you may know i'm in berlin right now
till now we (jennie and me) did not spot him yet but we got to know a bit about him.
We went to the Babelsberger Studios today
and find out its not a problem to go inside
There is a bistro where everybody can go, eat and drink
and they are shooting there a german soap opera and the fans just go inside and wait for theirs stars.
We also went inside and had a cold drink and we were observing if we can see him passing by. This did not happen but....
I had a nice chat with the guy and the gal who are working there:
I asked if the actors of the "Speed Racer" movie are droping by here at the bistro too? And he said it happen at the beginning that John Goodman did came till the crew got the own catering. But as i asked him if there was a korean guy coming by ... the gal joined our conversation: Who do you mean? Is he tall? Best looking asian guy I ever saw? Great skin? Beautiful teeth? Long hair?
And i was just yes yes yes yes *nod nod nod ... (our baby) And both yes he does come from time to time, last time he was there he was buying a "fruitshake". Normaly the assistants are buying stuff for them but maybe he just wanted to do a walk and though he came over.
The guy told us, that they might finish the movie shooting tomorrow (fr) or next week.
Tomorrow we are going again, after js and helene joined us
and we hope for the best ... lets cross fingers!!!
Hopefully back with
good news and pictures..."
*AND LATER SHE UPDATED AGAIN:
"this evening we went to the hotel and emile hirsch was sitting at the next table..and we could hear what he was talking
they are nearly done with the shooting just some scenes left... hopefully it's him tomorrow!!"

今天去了Babelsberger Studios 拍片场 (宝拍Speed Racer 的地点)，才知其实要进片场并不难
里面有个小餐馆，人人可进去点东西吃
片场正在拍一部德国剧集，影迷都会到那餐馆等名星
我们也在那餐馆里等，希望能瞧上宝一眼，可惜没如愿
我在那儿和两位工作人员聊得挺愉快地
我问是不是见过的演员来餐馆，有没见过一位韩国名星
这时其中的那个女的便问：是不是很高，很帅 (她见过最帅的亚洲名星)，皮肤很好，
头发长长的？
我猛点头说是帅
男的说他 (宝)有时来
前次他 (宝)来，买了一个fruitshake
其实平时都有助理代劳，他 (宝)可能是想走动走动吧
那人还说可能明天或是下礼拜就拍完了
明天我们还会再去(那餐馆？)
希望如愿见着宝”
好友晚上又补充说她在旅馆时，旁边坐著就是Emile Hirsch (Speed Racer 的男主角)
听见他说电影即将完工， 只差几个镜头而已“

Hi all, how you may know i'm in berlin right now
till now we (jennie and me) did not spot him yet but we got to know a bit about him.
We went to the Babelsberger Studios today
and find out its not a problem to go inside
There is a bistro where everybody can go, eat and drink
and they are shooting there a german soap opera and the fans just go inside and wait for theirs stars.
We also went inside and had a cold drink and we were observing if we can see him passing by. This did not happen but....
I had a nice chat with the guy and the gal who are working there:
I asked if the actors of the "Speed Racer" movie are droping by here at the bistro too? And he said it happen at the beginning that John Goodman did came till the crew got the own catering. But as i asked him if there was a korean guy coming by ... the gal joined our conversation: Who do you mean? Is he tall? Best looking asian guy I ever saw? Great skin? Beautiful teeth? Long hair?
And i was just yes yes yes yes *nod nod nod ... (our baby )And both yes he does come from time to time, last time he was there he was buying a "fruitshake". Normaly the assistants are buying stuff for them but maybe he just wanted to do a walk and though he came over.
The guy told us, that they might finish the movie shooting tomorrow (fr) or next week.
Tomorrow we are going again, after js and helene joined us
and we hope for the best ... lets cross fingers
