by shubasrikrishna (View MyPage) on Dec 06, 2010 08:17 PM | Hide replies The main reason for Chinas success is the shift from Agriculture to Industry. Small towns have many factories and they just depend on rains like our farmers. They are hardworking and as a group form zones for producing cost effective goods.
Iam not sure if we can work in this way. We are unwilling to mine minerals in the name of environment and continue to be lazy.
The whole world will be dependent on China if they do not take manufacturing seriously. 中国的成功关键在于从农业到工业的转变。小乡镇有很多工厂。他们像我们的农民一样靠天吃饭。他们勤劳并形成一个集体，生产高性价比的产品。 我不确定我们是否可以以这种方式工作。在环保的名义下，我们不愿意采矿并继续懒惰。全世界如果不注重制造业，那么都将依赖中国。

so who will give food to the billions of people in India.It is just one village which went away from agriculture.China has huge agricultural production. You can not just move away from agriculture and become 100% industrialized. we have to keep balance in both. we dont want to live in villas and depend on countries like bangladesh for food grains.

No one is telling to move 100 % to industries. There is too much dependence on agriculture now..This is why farmers are suiciding. 
没人告诉你要100%工业化。现在是过于依赖农业。这就是为什么农民会自杀。

Pankaj....I am in China for 8 years..chinese are enjoying better life than Indians..donot believe in media made images about China..nobody is harassed to do any job..there may be some specific incident somewhere..for example,if there is an honour killing case in UP,that does not mean that honour killing is a hobby of all Indians..

If China is richer than India due to communism why are our two communist states (West Bengal and Kerala) so backward? It's not only the political system but also the way it's implemented/followed and attitude of people that determines the success of any nation. India has it's natural resources in abundance. But, is it being properly exploited? We elect poor leaders who exploit people who inturn blame everything and everybody in the world and don't care to even cast their vote properly. As they say, 'no pain no gain'. 
In the above article they talk of the villagers working through out the week!!! Do we work properly even for 5 days a week? Most of us are deeply self centered and selfish and so are our leaders because they merely reflect a poor us!!! So, we as citizens need to improve...improve our outlook and the way we think

by Cric Fan (View MyPage) on Dec 06, 2010 05:00 PM | Hide replies Why do I see so many negative and hostile messgaes on this article? The author clearly says it is the efforts of one man in the 50s that transformed this village. Now, it is a tourist attraction and a model for other chinese villages. To call it a village is a misnomer, from what one sees in the photos.
However, we Indians shoudl open our eyes to reality. Whatever you say about communism and lack of free speech, etc., China has developed in leaps and bounds. The chinese are very hard working people. China is now far ahead of India in many respects. the sooner we common people of India and the idiotic leadership that we have realize this truth, the faster we can do something to tryand catch up. Let us not be like the ostrich with its head in the sand. Wake up Indians. We c

They spend all the money on extravaganzas like Asian games and some select cities just to boast that they are on par with USA and the rest of the poor in the country have no voice. 他们建设一些这样的村，用来宣传他们国家一切都很好。如果所有的村都这样，为什么中国被认为是世界上最穷的国家之一。他们的人均GDP只有6000美元，这非常低。 他们将所有的钱花在亚运会那样的铺张表演。一些经过挑选的城市吹嘘，他们和美国旗鼓相当。而国内其余地方的穷人则没有声音。

To be fair, we should not criticise them but inspire ourselves to reach the benefits of development to our own people.By criticising them we will not benefit, but surely we will benefit if we are amenable to learning from them. 
You would agree, our people - especially in rural areas - are living in inhuman conditions. Our political class and bureaucracy do not feel any sense of responsibility towards our citizens. 
It is ok if they enrich themselves but must also ensure development reaches the people. Our guys are just inspired by unsatiated greed. The people are going for a toss. For how many years are we going to remain a developing country.If East Germany was brought near par with West Germany in just 10 years, there is surely something our guys are not doing.

You visit once to China, and I am sure , You will change this opinion. We Indian pat ourselves, saying We r no way down to China but regret to say , We no way match with China . We are underdeveloped by atleast 10 year compared to china
