Details of Tropical Low 30U at 3:30 pm ACST:
Intensity: tropical low, sustained winds near the centre of 65 kilometres per hour with wind gusts to 95 kilometres per hour.
Location: within 55 kilometres of 11.9 degrees South, 137.7 degrees East , 105 kilometres east northeast of Nhulunbuy and 265 kilometres north northeast of Alyangula .
Movement: west northwest at 17 kilometres per hour .
Tropical Low 30U is expected to continue to move out of the Gulf of Carpentaria and into the Arafura Sea overnight tonight. There remains a low risk it will develop into a tropical cyclone, but it is more likely to remain a tropical low. Gales are likely on the southern side of the system and are forecast to continue until late tonight or early Tuesday.
30U will pass close to the northeast Top End coast tonight, and a Severe Weather Warning is current for damaging winds and heavy rainfall in that area. For details see http://www.bom.gov.au/nt/warnings/
On Tuesday, 30U is likely to be moving northwest in the Arafura Sea, where it should persist for the remainder of the week.

Intensity: tropical low, sustained winds near the centre of 55 kilometres per hour with wind gusts to 85 kilometres per hour.
Location: within 55 kilometres of 11.6 degrees South, 136.8 degrees East , 65 kilometres north of Nhulunbuy and 260 kilometres north of Alyangula .
Movement: west northwest at 16 kilometres per hour .
Tropical Low 30U is moving out of the Gulf of Carpentaria and into the Arafura Sea. There remains a low risk it will develop into a tropical cyclone, but it is most likely to remain a tropical low. There is also a low risk that gales will redevelop on the southern side of the system during the remainder of tonight and early Tuesday.
