Hey everyone, I went to the site earlier today around 11:30am and got a ticket from a scalper
It is very expensive tho, a whooping $250CAN It is a good seat though, still not in the 100 sections (ie. the sections at the bottom), but it is a good 200 level seat, close to centre of the baseline so I can see the ball and angle very well, and row G, so not bad. It would have been sold at the box office for $150. Well, anything for Rafa!! I guess no shopping for me (at least today....), tomorrow I have a more leisurely day because I already hate a ticket for Saturday night, so perhaps I will be tempted to go shopping in the early afternoon. For today, Rafa has booked Center court for practice at 4:30pm and also Court 8 at 5pm, I guess in case the matches at Center finishes late. Likely not then because Davy retired.
I am back at my hotel now, just finished my lunch and checking my emails. So I guess I have some time to blog a bit about yesterday.

相当滴贵啊，嘶，250加元。是个好位子，但是不是在下面。是个200水平的好位子，和底线的中间离得很近，所以我能够看清楚球，角度也很好，在第G排，所以还不赖。官方应该是卖150的。不过算啦，一切为了Rafa！！我想没得shopping了（至少今天），明天我可以过得更悠哉，因为已经买了周六晚上的票，所以大概下午可以去shopping。今天Rafa预定了中心球场下午4点半的训练，还有5点在8号球场，我猜是以防中心球场的比赛结束得太晚。似乎不会这样子，因为Davy退赛了。现在回到宾馆了，刚刚吃完中饭、查完邮件。所以我有时间来写点关于昨天的博客。
THURSDAY:
Because Rafa's match was 12:00h on Center court, and the gates only open at 11am, that means we wouldn't get to see his practice. Therefore, we all slept in (we needed that after the long Wednesday we had ). I got to the site around 11:40h, when I saw lots of people waiting at the passage way between players area to the players entrance into Centre court:

因为Rafa的比赛时中心球场12点，所以大门11点才开，意味着我们看不到他训练。于是我们选择了睡懒觉（在度过了漫长的周三之后这是很有必要的）。我大概11点40到的，看到一大堆人等在球员区到球员入口的通道上。所以我也站那儿。我大概站在第三排。很快，我们看到了Rafa的黄色头巾，在他头后面伸出一把香蕉（我觉得很cute）。杨诺维奇先出来，人群发出小阵欢呼。等到Rafa出来时，拥挤的人群简直像发了疯，人们互相推挤，大喊，高举着相机和手机。于是我拍到了一张好照片。但是保安们尽忠职守，在两边拉起了绳子隔出一条通道，所以Rafa没有任何机会被骚扰成功。

So I stood there as well. I was in about the 3rd row of people. Soon enough, we saw Rafa's yellow headband inside the door, with the "tail" of the bandana sticking up at the back of his head (which I find very cute ). Janowicz came out first with a small cheer from the crowd. Then when Rafa came out, the crowd went crazy People were pushing, shouting, holding up cameras and phones all over the place. Therefore I could not get a good picture. But the security guys did their job and Rafa was at no time unsafe by any means, because the security guys held up a rope on both sides to make a pathway.

I was really feeling the heat during the Janowicz match, so had to leave and seek help. (karma for making a joke about it on Wed ) So, no pics. But I have recovered, said good-bye to Johanne and holina , and am relaxing at home.
Just on a personal note, this tournament has dispelled a lot of bad feelings I was left with after 2011. Rafa was so much healthier and happier this year , more close-up viewing ops, and just my own increased confidence at tourneys, not to mention Rafa is in the quarters And I have a new, signed small Spanish flag to wave as I watch on TV tonight
和大个扬比赛时我真的觉得很热，所以需要离开寻求帮助（这是周三开玩笑的报应啊）。于是，没有照片。不过我已经好了，和Johanne和Holina告别，现在在家里休息。
从个人角度来说，这次比赛驱除了11年留给我的阴影。今年Rafa更加健康，更加快乐。也增加了我对旅游的信心，更别说Rafa还进了半决赛。而且我有了一面新的带签名的西班牙国旗，可以边看着电视边挥舞。

Sorry to be getting everything out of chronological order. I tried to post sooner but couldn't get post image to cooperate.
Last weekend I had the pleasure of spending 5 great days at the Roger’s Cup in Montreal. So great to spend the time in Rafa’s presence and share some laughs with my fellow Rafa fans, Johanne and ladydks. And the first three days were all free!

Friday
My first day at the tournament was Friday. From previous experience in Montreal I knew the players entrance for fairly accessible so an hour before practice I took up my place and within minutes Rafa arrived looking very happy and relaxed.
I joined the crowd in welcoming Rafa to the first somewhat official day of the tournament!
周五
由于之前在蒙特利尔的经验我很轻易地找到球员入口，所以训练开始前一个钟我站好位子，不一会儿Rafa到了，看起来很高兴很放松。我加入了欢迎Rafa正式比赛第一天的人群。

On my way to the court I noticed there were some fans starting to line up where the players pass on their way to center court. It very quickly became a mob scene but I managed to get a very good Rafa view.
在走进球场的路上我注意到有些粉丝开始排长队站在球员通道旁，很快也变成一团乱麻但是我还是找到了很好的视角。

It was possible to get down to front for the practice with David. Although it was not a very encouraging practice, I think Rafa won the practice set. It went to a tiebreak after Rafa had been up a break. Being so close it is hard to see the lines properly.
走到下面去看和稳定的训练是可行的。虽然训练并不怎么积极，我想Rafa赢了训练盘。其中还抢了个七。离得这么近很难看清楚边界。
After practice Rafa was scheduled to do the draw. I headed in that direction ran into Johanne. We enjoyed seeing Rafa at the draw even though he was not allowed to do any drawing. He didn’t appear too happy to be drawn in Djoko’s half. After the draw there was a mini press conference and Rafa was his usual charming self. I left the site after being there for 5 hours, feeling very happy about all my Rafa sightings only to find out the next day that Rafa had had another practice after the draw ceremony.
训练过后Rafa该去参加抽签。我出发去和Johanne会和。这样看着Rafa实在是很享受的事情，尽管他并没被允许抽签。对于和小德同半区他并没有表现得很不高兴。抽签过后有个小型发布会，Rafa一如既往的迷人。待了5小时后我离开了，看了这么久Rafa让我感觉很高兴，发现明天Rafa还有另一场训练。


Rafa was very chatty with this lady who was some kind of Rogers bigwig for Quebec.

Saturday
On Saturday I decided to follow a similar schedule and met Rafa when he arrived to get my atomic purple bull cap signed. Easy peasy, mission accomplished.
周六
周六我觉得还是用一样的安排，在Rafa到的时候就去见他，然后给我的紫帽子签名。轻松完成任务。

They were only giving our 200 level tickets that day so I was somewhat resigned to a poorer Rafa view. However I spotted Johanne out smarting the ushers and decided to follow her lead to the 100 level and courtside.
He practiced against Andy. He and Andy never chatted together, but Lendl came over and had a very smiley conversation with Roig and Rafa. At one point he accused Rafa of being lazy for not playing since Wimbie. Didn’t hear Rafa’s response but I am sure he got the sarcasm intended. It was a much better practice for Rafa as he broke Andy twice without being broken back.
那天之拿到了200级的票，所以只能看到糟糕的画面。然后我看到Johanne很聪明滴跟着领票员，于是我觉得跟随她的步伐，去了100级的场边。
他正在和Andy训练。他俩一直没有交谈，但是伦德尔走了过来和Roig、Rafa进行了友好的对话。他控诉Rafa太懒了温网之后一直不参加比赛，没听到Rafa的回答，但是我确定他会虚心接受这个批评的。这次打得好多了，Rafa破发穆雷两次，而且没被破发。

Sunday
On Sunday as expected Rafa did not get center court for practice. Instead he (or someone else) choice court 8 right beside Court 7 with Murray-Ferru. It was impossible to get near so we watch for bit from BN court balcony.

周日Rafa没去中心球场练习，而选择了8号场，旁边的7号场正好是Murray-Ferru。没办法走太近，于是我们在BN球场的阳台上看。

Then the skies opened up and the courts were vacated for the remainder of Rafa’s time. Rafa stayed for a few minutes to sign.
开始下雨，Rafa签了会儿名才走。

Rafa had another practice scheduled for later in the afternoon so we hung around and had some lunch. While waiting Johanne used her knowledge of scheduling gained from her years as volunteer at the tournament to guessimate where and what day the HDMOAT would take place. She predicted day session on BN court on either Monday or Tuesday. We decided to cover all options and purchased good BN court tickets for both days. This worked out perfectly.
Shortly after Johanne noticed the security guard that had been at Rafa`s early practice and asked about the later practiced. He told her it would now be earlier on the court next to court 9. We got ourselves set up on court 9 and the skies opened up again delaying the practice by another hour. By that time Johanne had to leave and ladydks had arrived. My phone completely died and I couldn’t take any pictures with Rafa looking particularly fetching in his navy t-shirt. Fortunately lady was there to get the pictures.
I can however shed some light on the Macarena picture. Rafa arrived at the practiced court before Reechie. To entertain themselves, Rafa, Maymo and Roig`s son were playing a game. They stood on one side of the court and attempted to gently nudge a tennis ball with their foot. The object of the game was to stop the tennis ball in the doubles alley on the other side of the court. Rafa and Maymo were reading the break on the court in the Macarena picture. When Reechie arrived he had a go! Another good practice but again interrupted by a heavy downpour.
Ladydks and I sheltered under the BN court balcony from the rain, windy, lightening and one very loud clap of thunder. As we were leaving the grounds we saw a crowd at the player’s entrance. We asked if Rafa had left. One fan told us he had. On his first attempt to leave, he came out just as there was a huge clap of thunder and quickly ran back inside. That’s our Rafa.

Rafa晚点有另外的训练计划，所以我们四处逛逛，吃个中饭。然后坐等Jonhanne运用她多年参加巡回赛志愿者的经验来猜测发生HDMOAT的时间和地点。她预测是周一或周二在BN球场。我们决定买两天BN球场的好位子。这起了大作用。
Johanne看到之前Rafa训练时的保安问他之后怎么安排。他告诉她在9号场。又开始下雨，训练延期一小时。Johanne走了，ladydks刚到。我手机彻底没电了不能拍Rafa迷人的海军T恤。幸好lady 在照相。
Rafa比Reechie早到。为了自娱自乐，Rafa，蚂蚁魔和Roig的儿子玩了个游戏。他们站在球场的一边，试图用脚轻轻推动网球。目标是将网球停在另一边的双打线上。Reechie到了之后也玩了会儿。训练的不错，但是再次被暴雨打断。
Ladydks和我在BN球场的阳台上避雨，狂风大作，雷鸣电闪。离开时我们看到球员入口有一堆人，我们问Rafa是不是走了。有个人告诉我们是的。他第一次打算离开时正好碰到一声响雷，然后他灰快的跑了回去。这就是我们的Rafa。
晚点再贴接下来两天的。

Okay, one interesting thing in this practice was that after he finished his volleys, he practiced his return of serve A LOT, before practicing his serves. I thought this is somewhat unusual. But as we can see later in his match, we know why he worked on his ROS and it worked well . In his practice, he did backhand ROS first, then forehand ROS. Then he finished his practice session with his serves.
训练的时候发生了一件趣事儿，当他结束练习截击时，在开始练习发球前，他先练习接发。我想着有些不寻常，但是在随后的比赛中我们知道为嘛要这样，而且这很管用。他先练习反手接发,然后是正手。然后结束了发球练习。
Soon after he finished, he gave fans autographs and pictures at the players exit.He is always so accommodating . He seemed to be in a good mood, but not kidding around, very focused
After he left, I stayed in my seat. Johanne then texted me to see if we can meet up and for me to give her Saturday night's ticket that I had bought for her the night before. As I was just getting comfortable in my seat and eating my crackers, I didn't want to move, so I watched the first set of Djoker vs. Richard. It was over in a blink I left the court to meet up with Johanne after set 1, and we sat outside and chatted for a bit and before another blink of an eye, the match was over It was pretty pathetic. Also, another pathetic thing was, I thought Richard would be quite popular in Montreal because he is French, but he got a smaller cheer than Djokovic when they entered the court
结束后，他在球员出口给粉丝们签名、拍照，他总是这么平易近人。他看起来心情不错，但是没有到处搞笑，而是很专注。

OKay, I am giving up on postimage for now. I will try to post more practice pics later.
One thing I initially decided not to bring up, but now I think I can mention, is that Rafa had tape on his lower left back in his Wednesday's match, but none ever since. We saw it when he took off his shirt at the end of Wednesday's match. Ladydks and I were surprised that nobody mentioned it on VB, maybe it couldn't be seen on TV because the camera seems to be always on Rafa's right hand side this whole week when he was doing his "post-match shirtless routine". We both decided against mentioning it because we don't want people here to freak out, but after seeing him play well these last couple of matches, and the fact that he doesn't have the tape anymore....seems to bode well. And I think if I were reading a blog from another VBers, I would want to know the whole truth about Rafa's conditions, be it good or bad. Also I think this explains a bit about what we saw in last night's quarterfinal match.
有件事情我开始不想讲的，但是现在可以说了。就是Rafa在周三的比赛中曾拍打背的左下方，不过之后就没了。周三比赛快结束时他换衣服的时候我们看到了胶带。我和我的小伙伴Ladydks都惊呆了，VB上居然没人提到，可能电视上看不到，因为在他进行赛后换衣服的例行公事时摄像头好像总在Rafa的右手边。我们一致决定闭口不提，因为不想大家担心，但是看到他之后的几场比赛表现这么好，而且也没在贴胶带...似乎是好了。如果我是在看别人写的博客，我肯定想要知道更多真相，不论好坏。这也解释了一点昨晚QF的表现。
I think he may have tiny niggles on his back earlier this week (maybe still has, I don't know), but last night his serve was significantly lower in terms of rpm compared to the Jerzy match. I think he does not want to push too hard, knowing that he can still win without a hard serve against Matosevic especially after winning the first couple of games easily, in order to "save himself" for the Djokovic match. He could still serve hard when he really wants to, for example, when serving for the set/match against Matosevic, or during the entire Janowicz match (because he was pushed to do so). His serve last night was around 160s km/hr during "non-urgent" moments, and he served in the 180s/190s during crucial moments when he really wanted to.

Another reason why he was being aggressive with his ROS may be that, besides the fact that it is good for his game and he will need to do that against the likes of Djokovic/Murray, maybe he was still being cautious with his back, so that he cannot rely on his serve as much as he wants to, and so he needs to ramp up his ROS. Or, maybe he is already ok, but don't want to push it too hard in these two ATP1000 events because his main goal is the USO (as much as he denies it and say that all tournaments are important, I am 100% sure he is aiming for the USO). I think he is going to ramp up his serve tonight against Djokovic, as he has done in the French Open semis. We will see.
在接发上保持攻击力的另一个原因是，除了对阵小德、穆雷会有利，还可能是担心背，所以不能过多依赖发球，需要提高接发质量。或者，可能已经好了，他不想在两个大师赛上这么拼命因为主要目标是美网（虽然他说所有的赛事都很重要，但是我百分百确定他正瞄准美网）。我想今晚的比赛中他将提升发球，就像在法网半决赛中那样。让我们拭目以待吧。

Not sure if I will post again today before the match....If not then I will cheer like crazy!!! I just checked the Rogers Cup website and there are still 200 level tickets for sale for the final, believe it or not, although the seat is not great. And it costs $230....we'll see what's going on....
不确定比赛前我还会不会更新...希望到时候我不会叫得像个疯子！！！刚刚查了下官网，还有200级的决赛门票，虽然位子不好，要230加元...再说吧...
