二战结束时美军1200万，其中海军300万，陆航287万，其余600多万属于苏德概念上的陆军。
但600多万人的美国陆军，作战师只有89个，步兵师满编1.4万人，装甲师满编1.1万
一些吧友的言论，看似正确 其实有一些误区

在二战结束以后 1200万美军中 抛去海军 海军陆战队 陆军航空兵
剩下5 6百万都是陆军作战部队和辅助部队，变成89或91个师（2中说法） 平均每个师达到6万人，于是得出美国陆军作战部队非常臃肿，看似正确 其实这是个误区。

大量陆军 军事人员不可能在一线部队服役，而是在国内驻守 比如预备役 训练部队 文职 机关院校等
还比如某国的文工团 篮球队 更是不可能编制到陆军野战军里

比较德军
巴巴罗萨德军153个师 330万 此时德军处于满员状态

差不多 平均每个师2.1-2.3万之间
美军是平均2.8万人一个师 因为美军在45.2以后伤亡不大 补充的很到位 按满员算
看似美军比德军臃肿一些 其实不然。

美军陆军有大量独立作战和辅助部队，虽然德军和毛子也有 但是数量无法相提并论
德军和苏军的独立作战部队和辅助部队 可以参照格兰次大爷和猪食喂的书，因为都是大陆货各位自己找吧，

我们通常抛去陆航的人数
而在本土有大量训练人员 预备役 机关院校 文职等陆军人员，这些人压根就不是野战部队的人，而一些人总是把这些人算到野战部队的头上

那我们在往远了扯一点
550万美国陆军 不包括陆航 其中西欧60个师大约260万作战部队 算上地中海和太平洋 350万应该是有的，也就是说其他200万美国陆军是训练 后备等等和吃闲饭的 不承担作战任务的部队

42年夏天 德军大约950万正规军 不包括准军事人员
德国陆军 注意不包括海空军 拥有170万预备役 以及125万持闲饭的文职 机关院校等等
将近300万人不在一线打仗或者驻守，陆军野战军数量不过400万出头 700万人 300万持闲饭的 400多万打仗的
43年夏天 德国有大约1000万正规军和300万准军事人员
其中 陆军野战军+武装SS+空军陆战队 500万
仍然有125万文职机关院校等吃闲饭的 230万陆军后备 60万非武装SS 警察等
