In the past few weeks there have been unconfirmed news that Meryl Streep, Oprah Winfrey and Julia Roberts will be starring in a new film by Mike Nichols. If you remember Meryl's appearance on Oprah earlier this month you may recall she said, that the two of them have something in the making. Now, while being interviewed by on "van der Vorst Ziet Sterren", a programme in the Netherlands, she was asked about this project. Here's a transcript of what she said.
Peter van der Vorst: Last week, Oprah revealed that she was turned down by the director of the film (for "Doubt"), and then you said 'we have something in the pipeline together'. What is it?
Meryl Streep: Mike Nichols has a project that he's writing with Elaine May, for me and Oprah and Julia Roberts. If it happens, but there's a lot of these little ideas that never see the light of day but, yes, we have a plan anyway.
