Hi, I finally got the chance to show Jason's English song to my colleagues a few days ago.
Here's the brief 卖英文包工作报告:
1. The background of my colleagues -
a. They are typical Americans. Two white. One black.
b. All high educated.
c. They all love music.
d. They don't know Jason (Of course), and they don't know that the singer is Asian. (At that time.)
2. The response of my colleagues -
a. Colleague A:
- Great voice.
- Sounds like male version (男版) of Celion Dion (After he listened to Jason’s “I need U tonight".)
- Unbelievable. He has no accent at all!
I thought the singer was a typical local pop singer…..(Cheers!)
b. Colleague B:
- Hmm! Very powerful voice. (After he listened “The Reason".)
- No kidding! He is Chinese? Wow! The way he delivered the lyrics was so clean and so well.
- I cannot tell at all that the song was performed by a Chinese young singer! He’s so good! (Bing Go!)
c. Colleague C:
- Awesome! He did a great job on these two songs…
Based on their feedback, the conclusion is:
Jason 唱的很好, 咬字清楚, 没口音, 有韵味, and they like it!
I don’t mean that his English song is 100% perfect. He still has room to grow.
For example, in the song ‘Seven days’ he delivered, some pronunciation still needs to be improved.
However, you could tell how great the potential Jason is.
