Responsibilities:
- The role should provide guidance and actively be involved in the development and execution around training and transition plans to ensure the finance transformation takes place. Additional focus is placed on work documentation, policies & procedures and the finance support model for the business. The ability to transform a 'controlled bookkeeping organisation' into a Finance support organisation to the business requires a clear focus on change management. It requires obtaining a clear understanding of the finance support/ service/ customer focused organisation, with a performance indicators and SLA/OLA and RSL measurements in place to continuously optimise the finance function.
- In supporting the ChemChina/ BlueStar implementation of Finance Transformation/ Shared Services model, this project is transform, implement and set standards in finance with the capability of creation of Global Shared Services. It will identify and quantify long term and short term opportunities for the Finance Transformation and Shared Services Model, identify priorities and recommendations for implementation, taking into account the manual processes, current levels performance, initiatives affecting processes throughout China/ Global and benchmark performance of Finance Processes and Shared Services.
Requirements:
General Skills/Experience:
- University Degree or equivalent in experience

General Consulting Skills:
- Experience within the Chemical Environment
- Creation of formal transition schedules and training material (e.g. content, weaknesses, strengths, effectiveness, etc)
- Identifies key 'Subject Matter Experts' (providing a 'champion' approach to change the process model)
- Expert in defining the type of transition path to supports all the relevant aspects relating this change.
- Provides insight and support to the Subject Matter Experts/ champions to create a 'positive', executable process model, roles, applications, performance measurements, improvement schedule, etc.
- Good stakeholder management and communication
- Project Management
Specific Finance Criteria:
Candidates must be able to demonstrate that they have led transitions and delivered finance transformations on one or more categories. Candidates are likely to have come from industry as a financial process specialist/ accountant (hands-on experience) and into consulting to extend their experiences beyond their past industry.
- Proven track record of success in finance transformation projects (preferably if from Petrochemicals Industry)
* Understanding of training and roll-out requirements
* Understanding of a Finance Support organisation
- Direct experience of working on a finance workstream/ project
- Clear evidence of capability in defining transition/ deployment strategies
- Excellent client relationship skills (pref. with different cultures)
- Strong all round consulting experience and performance that includes; supporting the sales process, leading and being part of delivery teams
- Good people management skills
- Ability to align with other projects to assist in overall company strategy and therefore have a wider experience/ interest then finance
- Preferred understanding of finance and controlling support and ERP environment
- Preferred experience with 'different' legal requirements environment
- Understanding of a Finance Service Model and design clear roles/ responsibilities within the process
