①　重点语法现象解析
1.It seemed as if the world was at an end！似乎是世界末日到了！
seem to be/like＋n.似乎……,好像……
seem to be doing sth./to have done sth.=好像正在做/已经做了某事
seem (to be)＋n./adj.似乎是……
There seems to be...好像有……
It seems as if＋从句若表示很可能实现的事情,就用陈述语气;若表示的是与事实相反的假设或实现的可能性很小则用虚拟语气。
It seems as if it were spring already.似乎春天已经来了。(虚拟语气)
It seems as if our team is going to win.看起来我们队要胜了。(陈述语气)
这个大家要注意哦。用上面的知识点造造句子，最后内俩个知识点熟记便可。

2.All hope was not lost.不是所有的希望都破灭了。（相信这句话有许多同学自己会翻译错误。是不是童鞋们都翻译成=所有的希望都丢失了？O(∩_∩)O~）
还有注意一下上面是was单数，不是复数were。千万小心呵呵。Hope没有+s哈。
语法现象：否定词no或not与表示总括意义的不定代词如everything,all,both等连用时,表示部分否定。no或not放在句首或句中一样。
①All the boys don't like football.并不是所有男孩都喜欢足球。
②Not all these books are popular with people.这些书并非全都受人们的欢迎。
③Everything had not been taken.并不是所有的东西都被拿走了。
④Both of them didn't come yesterday.昨天他们两个并没有都来。
那有的童鞋问，那么如果我全部否定呢，那要怎么办？
请看上面那四句话的全部否定:
①None of the boys likes football.这些男孩没有喜欢足球的。
②None of the books is popular with people.这些书没有一本受人们的欢迎。
③Nothing had been taken.没有东西被拿走。
④Neither of them came yesterday.昨天他们两个都没有都来。
大家看出名堂了吧？对了。完全否定要用“否定前置”。还要注意一下none of，neither of后面的谓语单复数哦，在我们的考试中默认用单数。但是生活中none of+可数复数，谓语是可以用复数的。既然是英语考试，大家记住前者便可。

②　课中补一补（重点词汇之类）

burst out突然迸发；爆发
burst out doing sth.＝burst into＋n.突然……起来（注意区别后面加的东西不一样）

4.A Horrible Earthquake
Dirty water rose in wells and canals before the earthquake. But no one judged that an earthquake was coming. Suddenly, everything shook. It seemed as if the world was at an end. Millions of brick houses and a number of dams were destroyed. Railway tracks became useless bars. Pipes in mines burst and let out smelly steam. Huge cracks trapped cyclists every-where.
The next day, this event was the headline or main title of all newspapers. With the reporters giving an outline of the disaster, the whole nation was shocked by the damage and the victim’s extreme suffering. People were moved when they read that the survivors comforted each other by saying “Congratulations! You survived!”. So they not only expressed their sympathy sincerely, but also organized together to help the victims right away. The injured were rescued and the dead were buried. The frightened survivors were dug out from under the ruins and were offered shelter, fresh water and electricity. Thanks to people’s help, the loss was minimized.
