"阿巴"（ABBA）组合

"阿巴"组合成立于1971年，由两对夫妻组成，他们是：比约恩•奥瓦尔斯（Bjorn Ulvaeus，1945年出生）、本尼•安德森（Benny Andersson，1946年出生）、阿格妮莎•福斯克格（Agnetha Faltskog，1950年出生）、安妮-弗里德•林斯塔德（Anni-Frid Lyngstad，1954年出生）。他们4人都是歌手，同时，比约恩还演奏键盘，本尼演奏吉他。最初，本尼和比约恩一起合作，后来，本尼和安妮、比约恩和阿格妮莎分别结为夫妻，并用每个人名的第一个字母组合ABBA"作为演唱组的名字。

他们迅速在欧洲走红，单曲《滑铁卢》（Waterloo）在1974年欧洲电视歌曲大赛中获奖，并获得英国单曲排行榜冠军，进入美国单曲榜前十名。随之而来的是非凡的成功：连续18首歌曲进入英国单曲榜前10名（其中8首达到第一名），8张专辑达到排行榜第一名。1977年进行第一次世界性巡回演出，1979年进行全美国的巡回演出。他们是继"披头士"之后最成功的乐队之一。据统计，在他们的鼎盛时期，每年为瑞典经济盈利甚至超过了沃尔沃汽车工业。

1977年之后，他们的音乐受家庭生活的影响，水平日渐下降。比约恩和阿格妮莎在1979年离婚，本尼和安妮也在1981年分手，这一切最终导致了组合的解散。

2、耗斯舞曲（House）

迪斯科舞曲发展到80年代，出现了一种变化，一些DJ尝试着将迪斯科舞曲和一种机械而稳定的电子鼓节奏融合在一起，于是又一种崭新的舞曲风格诞生了。人们把这种舞曲叫做"耗斯"。

耗斯舞曲最早从美国的纽约和芝加哥等地发展起来。它和迪斯科的最大不同之处在于形式和结构。迪斯科一般都采用"主歌－副歌"的形式，然后经过不断反复一直到结束，中间很少出现变化。耗斯舞曲却不一样，它经常把一首完整的歌曲打散，只取其中的某一段，将它拉长或变化。有时它也采取将两个完全不同的片段（Patten）放到一起，采用同样的速度，加以不断的反复。这种新的尝试受到了听众的一致认可，从此之后，耗斯舞曲的面貌开始变得更加复杂和多样。在当今所谓的电子舞曲领域里，耗斯舞曲可以说是势力最庞大的一个分支。如："杰克组合"（Jack You Body）、斯蒂夫•西尔克•赫利（Steve Silk Hurley）等团体在80年代都受到了听众的认可和商业的肯定。

二、说唱乐和嬉蹦乐

1、说唱乐（Rap）
说唱乐一词（有时又译"雷普"或"莱普"），原意为黑人俚语中相当于说话（talking）或交谈（chatting）的意思。作为一种流行音乐形式，它起源于70年代末纽约的贫困黑人住宅区，主要特点是以机械的节奏声为背景，快速地念诵一连串押韵的词句。从音乐上看，它的音乐比较简单，有很多的重复，多半没有旋律，只有低音线条和有力的节奏。它的来源之一是迪斯科舞会上DJ（唱片播放员）为了介绍唱片，按着舞蹈节奏所插入的说白。詹姆斯•布朗（James Brown）半说半唱的风格，通常使其被认为是说唱乐的先驱者之一。说唱乐的盛行是在80年代中期以后，在此以前，它一直以地下音乐的形式活跃于歌坛。 1986年，Run-D•M•C的专辑《升起的地狱》（Raising Hell）获第一名，表明说唱乐在商业上取得了成功，并有了全国性的影响。

说唱乐从形式上大致可分为两种，一种是具有反叛性的，如"人民公敌"（Public Enemy），因经常采取挑战性的姿态，有时也被称作"匪徒说唱"（gangster rap），因此，这类歌曲经常引起社会的争议，所以很难进入排行榜。另一种是温和型的，如M•C•哈默演唱的歌曲。哈默（M•C•Hammer）出生在加利福尼亚州奥克兰，那里是个毒品泛滥、充满暴力的地方。他早年的很多朋友都干过走私毒品这一行，其中有的成了巨富，有的蹲了监狱。他认识到年轻人必须结识正直的人，选择正确的道路。他的说唱乐反对吸毒、反对暴力，从正面向着黑人年轻一代说话。因此，他在商业上取得了巨大的成功。
