约翰•丹佛（John Denver）

约翰•丹佛，1943年12月31日出生于美国西南部的新墨西哥州，从小喜爱音乐，8岁时祖母送他一把吉他，开始学习音乐。年轻时，他学的是建筑设计专业，1971年他放弃学业，一心从事乡村歌曲的创作和演唱。当年，以演唱歌颂弗吉尼亚山区美丽风光的《乡村之路》（country Road，例13）一举成名。1972年以一曲《高高的洛基山》（Rocky Mountain High）进入电视屏幕，成为美国广播公司"午夜特别节目"的主持人。 

丹佛熟悉农村生活，热爱大自然，他创作的歌曲大都是赞美大自然和歌颂人类的友爱和美好的感情。因其曲调简朴、优美，内容清新向上，歌词富有诗意和哲理，使他在罗拉多州一带享有"桂冠诗人"的美名。他的吉他弹唱在世界上更是享有盛名。 

1997年10月，丹佛在驾驶自己的私人飞机时不幸失事，终年54岁。 

约翰•丹佛的代表作品有：《乡村之路》（Country Road，1971）、《高高的洛基山》（Rocky Mountain High，1972）、《安妮之歌》（Annie's song，1974）、《阳光洒在我肩上》（Sunshine on my shoulders，1974）等。

一、舞曲浪潮 

1、 迪斯科舞曲（disco） 
迪斯科这个词是discotheque的简称，原意为播放唱片供人跳舞的舞厅，60年代初源于法国。由于设备的不断更新，每家舞厅只要拥一套播放机和一名唱片播放员就足以替代整个乐队，而且还可得到各种不同的音乐，既省钱又实用。因此，各大舞厅都采用这种方法。于是人们把这种由唱片播放出来的跳舞音乐也叫做迪斯科。60年代中期，迪斯科传入美国，70年代初在全国各地扩散开来。 

迪斯科舞曲具有强劲有力的节拍，一般为4/4 拍，每一拍都是强拍，从头到尾不变；速度大约为每分钟120拍；它的曲调短小，歌词简单，不断重复。其实，任何一首曲子，只要调整一下速度，改成强弱不分的节拍，都可以变成迪斯科。起初，迪斯科舞厅播放的只是适合跳舞的流行歌曲和摇滚乐，如摩城的索尔音乐等，后来，逐渐出现了专门的迪斯科创作曲。

瑞士籍意大利人莫罗德（Giorgio Moroder）推动了迪斯科舞曲的发展。他既是一位成功的制作人又是一名歌手，他利用合成器的音响效果录制了许多作品。迪斯科的制作人一般都借助电子设备，并可以独自完成音乐作品。他们通常的做法是：先把低音鼓和贝斯的节奏录在音轨上，然后把合成器中的各种音响（可多达48层）叠录上去，最后再加进人声。
