As an university undergraduate, I like the content the professors teach in the lectures and find them very interesting. However, I hate examinations as the exams does not teach me anything other than memorizing information that can be easily looked up. I personally find making someone memorize something does not improve understanding of the subject material. Sadly, examinations are the cheapest, easiest and fastest way to grade students in massive numbers as it is too costly to test the understanding in any other way.
I really hate it!So each time I see something about the kids in developing or impoverished region lacking of education and how they are eager for education I feel very uncomfortable...
This me reacting to a video from a guy named "popking161" That's right, I am a 13 year old student and I can surely commit that speaking with people overseas are absolutely the best way to improve your English. I have been to China(for exchange purpose) and yes, I found out that the translation system are kind of bad, when I first notice this, I was like, wow, this system is really good, but more I get into it, the more I get confused for example: 黑泡儿, hip hop, that literally means black bubble (What????) I mean, you can use this system to remember certain English words, that's fine, but don't use this system for pronunciation purposes, stick with the original pronunciation, I am Chinese, and I am sure you can do it too Nowadays, when Chinese people learn English, they often start with learning the vocabs, but for me, there is more things to worry about, spelling, grammar, sentense structure, although my grammar and all those stuffs still aren't that perfect, but I know what is the priority, actually, there are many Chinese who knows more English words than I do, but than realised, the most important thing is SPEAKING and COURAGE, what is the meaning of knowing so many English but you don't speak it at all??? I suggest you guys to use twitter, Google Blog, you now etc, using Chinese-English Educational products isn't a bad idea but I think the fastest way to learn English is keep SPEAKING and SPEAKING caution: no offence, 不喜勿插, feel free to express your opinions, and pls, don't sue me
