回复:【试用英语谈】How do you like today's educational system?

So far as the English teaching and learning in China Mainland normal schools is concerned, it is still of too low efficiency, which is of course a huge problem but few seem to like to change. What a shame!

china's education pays more attention to the knowledge and the ability, the students are taught in school knowledge, lose touch with reality, the practical application value is not high.

Personally I don not really like our country's education system that much. Due to the hierarchy of our education statues,if a student fails school in his/her teenage, it will be extremely difficult for him/her to make it up after.
May be there are people who offer adult education and who promise that if you take their classes, you will be able to get a same bachelor degree as other people get from those fancy colleges. But Is it true? I think everybody knows the answer. When I was 16, since my score was 20 points lower than the acceptance level of general high schools, it left me with only one choice of goin' to a vocational school. After two yrs, i screwed up everything. There was nothing i could see in my future except all freaking darkness. But luckily i got an opportunity to promote myself. That is another story.
And furthermore, our education system limits kids self-developing. All students are judged under a same shit criterion. And after those young adult get into colleges, however, many of them cannot keep up and do what a college student ought to do. Our high school education system is too critical. And college education system flawed, e.g, lacking of things that teach students to be responsible. I hope someday they can be reformed.

As a high school senior, I take the position that might be different from most other seniors in mainland. In general terms of speaking, education varies with different location. In China might be stricter and harder, better than that of the U.S.. However, there were more opportunities in the U.S. that schools open up, such as internships, summer jobs, and study abroad. In addition, there were definitely more assistant in regards to the financial aspects of education.
