To top of the recent string of updates and announcements, a massively multiplayer online sequel to the franchise has been revealed. Little is known as of now, but a Game Informer announcement of the Elder Scrolls Online being the cover story of their June issue also revealed that the game will cover the entirety of Tamriel, and that the game's story centers around the Daedric Prince, Molag Bal, attempting to pull Tamriel into his Daedric realm, Coldharbour. That story also revealed that the previous rumors about an MMO were most likely spot on due to an inclusion of an image of an image of a lion, bird of prey, and dragon, trying to consume one another. The game is being developed by Zenimax Online Studios, which has been the subject of many rumors regarding what they could be working on.
The current release date is 2013, and will receive a considerable amount of coverage at Game Informer's Elder Scrolls Online Hub.
