1.演狼人还是演吸血鬼容易些?(Paul之前的一部电影《Wolf Lake》)
Paul:是啊,我从最开始演一个狼人,然后是天使,再到一个吸血鬼，我打算下一步戏里演个女妖。
演狼人会更容易些，因为他更多偏向于是动物的天性，而吸血鬼更多的就像是个...诗人，所以他需要付出更多的努力。在Wolf Lake这部戏里，我要表现的比较更加争强好斗一点——就像个爱惹是生非的高中运动员一样——从而很好的诠释角色。

Have you been a victim of a prank on set – or played one yourself?
I’m always a victim of a Matt Davis prank – my life is one big Matt Davis prank.
We once told Ian [Somerhalder] that the show ran out of money.
We told him that the set was having to make budget cuts and so he wasn’t going to get to have the same filters [on camera] as us – so he’d look a little different from everyone else.
He believed it and he was freaking out. (laughs) It was hilarious. [audience laughing]

Name 5 things that you have to take with you when you travel.
I always take my travelling sound machine – a white-noise sound machine.
I can’t sleep without it.
I heard Matt [Davis] said I wouldn’t survive on an island [read that here] – and that’s probably accurate. I need my sound machine.
I also sleep with an eyemask. [audience laughs] I hate the light! I’m like a vampire!
My ring. [the one he always wears that his grandfather gave him][he stopped listing, and someone yelled out that he had to list 2 more]
Five? I’m travelling! (thinks) My boots and a pair of jeans. These jeans; just the one – I never wash them. (laughs)
Hair pomade [which is hair wax for men] and curling devices. [audience laughs] I sleep with my curlers and cucumber facial mask. [Audience laughing] I don’t. For the record.



What type of music do you listen to?
[Someone yells out “Polka!”] (laughs) Polka!
I don’t listen to polka – I don’t even think I’ve ever heard polka music.
What does it sound like?
Is it just with an accordion? (laughs) I listen to all different kinds.
But I don’t like that – what is it [makes the techno-beat sound and someone yelled out Techno] Yeah, I don’t like techno.
But everything else. Well… some country I do not like – it’s too whiny.
I love old-school music: 60’s, 70’s, swing. When I wanna feel mature and cool I put on swing music.

What is your favorite Polish food?
Pierogi – the real good kind my grandma makes – always a good time.
You never know what you’ll get inside.
It’s true. Flies in your mouth. [audience laughs]



What would you do if you woke up in Ian Somerhalder’s body?
Jesus Christ! Pass out from anxiety. [audience laughs] Can I get out [around town]? Do I have a time limit – like 24 hours or something?
I’d go make a fool out of myself. (laughs) I don’t know – show off my baby blue eyes, hit on chicks, walk around a mall. I’d be like “What’s up? Yeah, its me.”

What is your craziest fan experience?
A girl tried to kiss me earlier today. It was weird. [That same girl is in the audience and yells out: I’m still waiting!] (laughs)
Yesterday Torrey [DeVitto] was asked to sign someone’s ass at a McDonald’s. Really. I took a photo.

What type of cologne do you wear?
You know, I don’t like cologne. I’m not a cologne guy. I’m all natural.

If you had 3 wishes to be granted, what would they be?
One, to move to Vancouver. I love Vancouver. That’s such a random wish! I could snowboard every day.
Two, ending war. Have to do altruistic things. (laughs)
And, have Stefan and Damon go off and venture on a wild excursion through Europe. [Audience cheers] Didn’t Gossip Girl do that – go to Europe? [Several audience members yell out variations of “Yes” and “Paris” – and someone else yells out “You watch Gossip Girl?!”] I don’t watch Gossip Girl.
I watch GG! Get with it dude; OMFG! Yeah, I do. Got a problem?
I’m a huge fan.[Audience cheering and laughing] I don’t watch Gossip Girl. (laughs)



If you could take a time machine somewhere, would you go to the past or the future?
Oh, the past! It’s ridiculous; why would you go to the future?
I don’t want to see that yet. You go back to the past.
There are a few situations I wouldn’t mind going back to avoid. (laughs)

Do you think that the fact that the books [by LJ Smith] are different from the show is good or bad?
If a show is quite literal to its book series, that takes away from the unpredictable nature.
How would it be sustainable for 6 or 7 years?
We need to create a storyline where fans can’t spoil others on a website.

What do you like to do in your free time?
I don’t get a ton of free time.
I love to just relax, travel, snowboard, go on trips.
That’s one of the great things about these conventions – it gives me an excuse to travel.
I also love food and wine.



What would you be doing if you weren’t acting?
God knows. I was aspiring to do hockey for the Rangers.
I never would’ve made it. (laughs) I also wanted to do journalism.
Investigative journalism and uncover groundbreaking stories.
I’m glad I fell into acting or I’d be a homeless muse.

Do you have any hidden talents?
(thinks) No I don’t think so. [Someone yells out “show us your moves”] Show you my what?! [“your moves!”] (laughs)
Ohhh. I thought you said my boobs.
I was like [makes confused face] – haven’t heard that since the 8th grade! [Audience laughs]
I got no moves guys.
I’ll leave that for Ian. I got nothin’.
