in the caves. I believe those are Arthur’s boots and his chain mail since he wasn’t wearing them when he was filming the scene we watched.

the scene in the caves from where we stood. you can’t see anything because that’s where we were told to wait! but you can tell from where all the lights are pointed where the action was. IDK like I said these pictures aren’t super thrilling or anything if you weren’t there, I don’t think.
ok so I don’t actually know what this is, but it was in a cavern that was on the way out, and there were lights on and stuff, so I’m assuming these are props for a set we didn’t see filmed? kind of creepy but really cool!
here are the extras/unnamed knights, sitting outside Clearwell Caves. IF THEY HAVE NAMES I DON’T KNOW THEM. they were friendly :)
here is one of sort of where they were filming in Puzzlewood. those lights are REALLY bright, haha. Puzzlewood is soooooooo cooooooooooooool! if you ever go to Wales I definitely recommend it :)

yeah, I said it was tiny and shitty. the lighting was bad, and it wasn’t allowed. but hey, it’s Gwaine and Leon and Elyan and Arthur…somewhere in there!

OH YEAH (last thing) AND GUYS GUYS GUESS WHAT: COLIN MORGAN IS A NORMAL SIZED HUMAN BEING. That is probably only a surprise to me, but hey, he’s been living in my television all this time, I thought he was miniature, ok? (joking, obviously) He’s also really tall. Or maybe he’s normal sized, because I’m kind of short, but he seemed tall to me. ASDJFALSKDFJSLAKJ WHATEVER. HE WALKED RIGHT BY ME IN A CLOUD OF BUG SPRAY. I SHALL NEVER BE THE SAME.

WATCHING SOME MERLIN FILMING AKA THE BEST DAY EVERRRRRR
OKAY GUYS LOL Holy cow so I forgot that tagging my posts ‘Merlin’ would let anyone on the ‘Merlin’ tag see it, therefore I forgot that anyone would even see this apart from the 20 followers I already had, few of which even watch Merlin. WOOPS. WELL ANYWAYS. Here is my post about the last two days of my life/vacation in Wales/the awesomest thing ever. Someone has informed me that the thing I thought was spoilery isn’t actually that spoilery if you know much about the original mythology, and are aware of the new casting for Mordred. I’m just gonna say right now that I’m not going to cut this, so if you don’t want to be minorly spoiled for series 5, just don’t read this. We didn’t hear any major plot points in any case, so don’t worry too much! (also, if you’ve messaged me about this, just read on, I’m just going to put it all here). LAST DISCLAIMER: I’m extremely verbose, and wasn’t expecting this many people to be interested, so, sorry, I guess, if you’re reading all of this. I don’t know how to be brief when I’m excited.
Anywho, to clarify, my best friend and I have been roadtripping through Wales for the last 3 days, stopping at lots of awesome historical locations which just happen to also be used by the BBC for filming things like Merlin and Doctor Who. Like I said yesterday, when we stopped at Raglan Castle on Wednesday, they mentioned that Morgana and Gwen had been there filming on Monday, although I’m sorry if that was spoilery for some people. I’m not totally sure how accurate that info is in any case, and I don’t know ANYTHING ELSE about it, so don’t read too much into that!!! The cute ladies at the desk also showed us their pictures from when Arthur and Merlin had filmed there last year. So precious!!!

WHOA haha I didn’t know I had gotten to this many tumblr posts already. Go me? Also I now have MORE than 100 followers which cracks me up. Hi everyone. I STILL DON’T KNOW WHAT YOU’RE DOING HERE. BUT I’M REALLY HAPPY ABOUT IT ALL THE SAME.
I don’t have anything thrilling to say or anything super exciting to post, but I thought to mark the occasion I’d post the last picture my friend took from that day we got to watch the Merlin cast filming in Puzzlewood. She finally emailed it to me and here it is:
Like I said before, it’s not actually that exciting. But it’s been over a week and it feels like much less of a big deal now, so I will share it with y’all. MOSTLY I JUST LOVE PERCIVAL’S FACE, OK? Rupert must have been saying something really exciting (he’s the one wearing the big parka, which was hilarious since it was like 65F that day, lol). Also GWAINE AND ELYAN BEING BUFF AND WEARING ARMOR **** YEAH.
Oh and I remembered a mildly amusing anecdote, perhaps you will not mind if I share it? When Bradley had to hoist Alex over his shoulder, the director wasn’t sure what he wanted I guess so Bradley just held him there for ages, and I guess Alex got bored and started fiddling with Bradley’s belt. Stuck his hand down it and what-not. IT WAS FUNNY OK? LOL all those knights, all so buddy-buddy with each other.

Oh yes. One last tidbit and then I’ll shut up. My favorite Colin Morgan part (besides the bug spray-filled walk on) was when he was hanging around with Bradley and Tom and kept squeezing Tom’s biceps. Like, yes, they really ARE that impressive. Apparently he had some sort of gruesome-looking makeup wound on one arm? At least, that’s what I’m assuming because Colin definitely said “that looks sick” at one point while squeezing Tom’s arm. LOL. I guess he could have just been admiring the muscles?
