Happy New Year, Chef!
Here's the follow up on the dish: the dish was a total DISASTER!! - My better half was supposed to tackle this dish, but he wanted me to give it a try so I could impress my dad - I made an impression on everyone alright…now they all call me "sugar chicken chef" !!!!! The chicken meat was too saggy with the big chunks of potatoes; since I wasn't sure what "shen feng" was and didn't ask, added more flour instead; I didn't really fry the chicken as I was afraid of the sizzling hot oil, I just put them into the oven for 20 minutes;
When you say "little", "a lot", these terms confuse the hell out of me!! Could you please be more specific, such as 1 tsp, 5 tbsp, 0.25 tsp - I def need your "precise" instruction for cooking…you mentioned to add lots of sugar,so I added about 10 tbsp with some teriyaki sauce…….
And my dad was asking :where did you get this recipe from!!
I'm so so so sorry, Chef - I let you down!!!
