These incredible lampshades look like they were purchased for over $1,000 but were actually all handmade from using Ikea products for around 15 buckaroos! This design comes from Vendela, from Linz, Austria who purchased three small IKEA Löbbo lampshades with 2 larger ones and Hemma cords and light sockets.
Cut the smaller Löbbo shades into thin strips and cut small holes into the larger lampshade and weave them in an irregular pattern. you dont need glue or tape as long as the holes aren’t too large. It is a pretty intense process but the results are worth it, with a little money and lot of time, you can create these lampshades that look like you purchased them from a high end store. I definitely want to attempt these to put in my livingroom… floor lamp maybe?!
