He is an idol who was an overnight sensation 4 years ago in a TV reality show named My Hero which was live in Shanghai Dragon TV. His name is Fu Xinbo. And he came from Chinese ancient city of Xi’an. Now he is 24 years old.
The first time I met him on the TV was on April 30. He sang a song named Big City Small Love(大城小爱) which had light acoustic guitar lines as the main theme. The boy, who was in brilliant red pants, appeared in front of us, young, sunny, pure, clear and warm.
For a moment, just a moment, we began to like him. He is like an angel who is very nice and kind in our heart.
In the beginning of the contest, he has had a nickname----Xiao Baozi because of his a little round face and childish character.
At the first three years from 2007 to 2010, Fu Xinbo is as one of BOBO，a Chinese boy combination composed of two members. The two sunshine boys became famous overnight after competing in the 2007 My Hero(07加油！好男儿), with Jing Boran winning the first and Fu Xinbo the third. After that, they both became members who signed with Huayi Brothers Media Group(华谊兄弟).
In 2007, this boy comnination BOBO released their own EP, Glory (光荣). And then they released their first album in 2008, The Big World (世界之大). And then they released their first album in 2008, The Big World (世界之大).
Last year, they released the final album Let’s BOBO as a boy combination and then they broke up.
In 2008, they performed on the opening ceremony of the 2008 Summer Paralympics in Chinese National Stadium.
The two also began their acting career in 2008, with Fu Xinbo playing in a cyberspace drama called I am Veeker (微客帝国) and the other in A Tribute to Stephen Chow (向周星驰致敬先).
Fu Xinbo's fans club is known as BBT, standing for Bong Bang Tang, which is a kind of candies. It is another term for lolipop. Fans of BOBO as a whole are called BBS, or BOBO'S fans. Together, the three groups are called bohe (薄荷), or peppermint. In Chinese, "he" also has the meanings of to be together and harmony.
After this boy combination broke up，Fu Xinbo cooperated with his senior sister Shang Wenjie who is in the same company with him. They finished a male and female duet named Untouchable Lover with the theme of the elder sister younger brother loves in 2010. And they shoot MV in Japan.
On March 5th this year, fans celebrated Fu Xinbo 24-year-old birthday in Shanghai. And I also came to the on-site of the party. This is the first time I met my idol during the 4 years. I was so excited and rejoiced. We got to the venue early that day and decorated it with pink balloons and other pink ornamentations. By the way, pink is the symbol of Fu Xinbo and his fans. It is a very lovely and warm color, isn’t it?
The next day, On March 6th , Fu Xinbo signed with a famous record company Gold Typhoon(金牌大风). We all felt happy and hopeful about his new starting.
At the end of March, Fu Xinbo released his first personal photo album Stand By the Time. Just as he says, suspending is for better advancing.
