Q: Do you guys play video games? A: RSAF AH64D Pilot: I personally don’t play video games, however some of other crews play DCS very often. I have one better than that. USAF F35A Ground Chief: Oh yeah, I play World of Tanks, heard about War Thunder but I found it too difficult to grind up. USAF F35A Pilot “Butcher”: Me and my friend play War Thunder. We use the same account in Kadena AFB, it was like I’m outside flying, he stays on the ground and grinding, when he’s flying, I start playing. It took us about half a year to finish the Sweden techtree, and start grinding the US. But when I come back to the state side, I got a new PC and new account, I was like omg I have to grind up again, then I don’t want to play it anymore. Me: Actually, you guys have to start grinding RUS techtree right now… Butcher: Ahh we don’t actually like RUS vehicles, but it’s Russian bias after all……
Q: Do you guys have any beer on board? A:Luftwaffe A400M Crew “Alex”: If you have to ask, I must say no :), and yes, we Germany only accept cash; if you don’t have cash, you can come back tomorrow.....
Q: What do you think about F35’s dogfightcapabilities? Is it good or not? A: USAF F35A Ground Chief: I have to say,Is it a good fighter? Definitely yes! Is it good at dogfight? No I don’t thinkso.
Q: Then do you guys still train about howto dogfight? Even gunfight? A: USAF F35A Pilot “Butcher”: Of course, it’s really bad that when you ran out of missiles, you do have a gun but you don’t know how to use it. We have a fighter weapon school just like TopGun in NAVY, actually Topgun use F16s to train their F18s, they found DACT is quite challenging.
Q: There’s a guy on YouTube, he fly NAVY first in F18, then he go to the AF in F16, have you heard about him? A:USAF F35A Pilot “Butcher”: I didn’t, but that’s really cool. I spent some time on F16, and then I moved to F35, I spent about 900 hours on the fighter jets.
