Q: Why you only have 4 MRM slot in the F35?
A: USAF F35A Ground Chief: 4 is quite enough in the real combat scenario; you know these missiles are very effective,4 missiles almost equal to 4 souls, if you got 3 in a real combat, that would make you an Ace. And the engine is way too big; it takes up most of the space on the aircraft so we can only place 4 MRM inside the weapon bay. And as for AIM260, I’m not sure; I’ve never heard about that, but we definitely have AIM120s on board.
