Greetings @everyone and it is so nice to be able to actually greet you without staving off cryptosleep sickness! Those nerds at the Ludeon colony are up to something again... Don't get me wrong, I still don't like you or your face, I just enjoy only being nauseous from seeing you specifically for once instead of it being you AND the sickness of suspended animation.So what have I been doing? Oh goodness seeing the sights I'll have you know! Have you ever seen the Glacial Plains this time of year? Absolute frozen hellhole, ten out of ten would recommend. Before that I was visiting some friends at the Dinkwood Cliffs colony and I have got to tell you that those walls are thicc! I think tomorrow me and some of the lads n' lasses are going to visit this neat little Glowforest we spotted from overhead on our way to Dinkwood... just need to make sure to load all eight hundred and fifty-two huskies before the visit this time...Transport Pod? Weight Restrictions? Do I look like a peasant to you? Gravships, you've totally got to get yourself one so you can flex on those Royal jackasses in space! I got tired of camping when I wanted to go do a few things out and about on the planet, so I just said "hey, if my dirt farmer friend can suddenly nonsense a Geothermal Generator out of some steel and a handful of computer chips why can't we make something that stays off the ground and goes even higher than the atmo?" Well ol' Dirt-loving Dave, hi Dave by the way, followed his introverted dreams and got us a way off this rock to wherever we want!It was an absolute pain moving all that furniture from our old colony onto the Gravship but I tell you it is nice going on a new adventure every day or so just because we can. No need to leave everyone behind either, we've got everything any other colony has it just goes with us now! Why pack twelve lunches, my stockpile of food is literally right over there. Notice a whole bunch of raiders you don't want to deal with setting up an eighty piece artillery structure outside your walls, why not just pack it up and move so far out of their range they give up on everything?I am going to warn you now friend you're going to see some nonsense out on the planet once you can get out and about a bit easier. We've seen SO MANY more beasts, heck we even caught a few birds and honestly they constant screeching every time I'm near the medbay just makes me so happy anymore. I've also been absolutely terrified of the amount of nonsense my dogs keep digging up and bringing home but we'll just ignore that tidbit for now.Oh have you ever been to space by the way? Yeah, it kind of sucks and other groups out there are kind of jerks about things, but there are some goodies up there that sometimes make it worth lodging our ship into the side of an asteroid or two for a few day harvest-n-run mission. Anyways I've got to go see what this nonsense about a gigantic Thrumbo is all about and see if the jerky we can get out of it is tastier than the normal Thrumbo jerky. Can't get enough of those delicious gentle giants!
