My school is recruiting team members for the winter camp which is organized by the English culture committee. We will spend the winter holiday at the Cambridge University. I’m very interested in it. However, my parents didn’t agree.

Dear John,
Winter is around the corner, and my school is hosting an winter camp in England. It is organised by the British culture organisation commitee and the campsite is going to be hosted at Cambrige university. It will be a truely challenging experience for me since I will be facing a totally new culture. That is why I'm anticipating this camp.
However, my parents objected to my decision of going to the camp. They are worried for my personal security without them looking after me, they are also doubtful about my very own ability of coping with the new enviroment.
So, I really hope you to give me some suggestions to persuade my parents into accepting this camp.
