PRAY FOR SPRING RAINS

Winter fades, yet no snow has come,
Earth cracks wide, a dry, endless hum.
Wheat seedlings weep, their sorrow’s deep,
Ancient trees bow, in silence they sleep.
.
Temple bells ring loud, through fields so wide,
Incense curls high, in the sky it glides.
Let's pray for rain to bless the land,
Hills are turning green, in joy our folks stand.
END

If we pray for the seedlings, it's a move for bread, but praying is not a race. Anyone may do it individually, and we needn't confirm who is the greatest prayer.

The police car stands alight
to guard the school gate,
The classrooms gleam bright
in a vibrant new state.
The sound of reading fills the air, so clear,
The children's laughter
spreads far and near.
In the time of spring,
where peace and joy reside,
Golden snakes go gathering,
hearts united, wide.
The nation’s peace,
on a prosperous base;
Millions of hearts,
in the celebration’s grace.
