以上句子用到了非谓语动词，表示主语被指示去做某事，还用到了完成时的形式，那么就还表示主语先被指示，然后再得到信心。
我的问题就是，句子没有After，根据完成时也可以表示先发生。所以如果省略了After，have就不必变成having了是吧。
是否可以写成：have been instucted to drive out of town, I began to aquire confidence.
