WMO #Hurricane Committee retired #Otis from rotating list of names in eastern North Pacific because of destruction in Acapulco, Mexico, in Oct 2023.
It retired #Dora because of indirect links to deadly Hawaii fires.
Otilio and Debora will be used instead.

WMO #Hurricane Committee did not retire any Atlantic Basin names for first time since 2014.
WMO uses rotating lists of names to communicate #EarlyWarningsForAll. These are repeated every 6 years, unless a storm is so deadly that its name is retired.
