Three more young men have been killed in two separate road accidents in Victoria.
There was a double fatality in Melbourne's southeast last night with a 21-year-old driver and his 17-year-old passenger killed when a car hit a light pole in Boundary Road, Mordialloc, around 9.40pm.
The impact of the crash was so severe the mangled wreck had to be hauled off the pole before emergency crews could reach the bodies trapped inside.
About two hours later, a 20 year-old man from Pakenham died when his car left the road and slammed into a tree on the South Gippsland Highway at Nyora, southeast of Melbourne.
Victoria's road toll now stands at 156 - 19 more than at the same time last year.
