In 1953, a 25-year-old princess pledged her devotion as defender of the commonwealth. Although much younger than her father had been at the time of his coronation, Queen Elizabeth II had proved herself to her country through public service during World War II. For more than 50 years, the queen has exhibited that same determination, and loyalty to her people. The queen celebrates her 84th birthday June 12, 2010, with the Trooping of the Color at Buckingham Palace.

2003年在白金汉宫外举行“皇家庆典音乐会”有好多曲目，其中一段系选自英籍德国作曲家亨德尔（George Frideric Handel，1685~1759）所创作嘅《皇家焰火音乐》。
