I have been wondering what the exact meaning of " pour water" is ,because it sounds freaking weird and makes no sense. Then i was told by a Chinese friend of mine this:
pour water=灌水= bullshit

"灌水" translated to Bullshit is not exact enough.
It should be translated to Grumbling, like comlaining some trivials in life.

usually, the words only used in BBS.
And in each BBS board, there'ld be a field.
If a poster are talking about sth not in the field or in low quality, we said it is "水贴" (poster full of water).
To post a great amout of "水贴" is "灌水"

If someone sells wine but he adds a lot of water into it, there'll be quality problem.
For example in this board, mathematics is wine and other kinds of topic is water. And also some poster like asking result of 1+2 is also water too.
