Hello, everybody. Thank you for giving me this opportunity to stand here and introduce myself. I’m very excited to be a member of this club which is spoken highly of in the circle of reading-lovers. My name is Li Hang, you can call me Catherine. I choose it as my English name because I want to become a lady like Catherine Hepburn, pretty, graceful and intelligent. I’m a girl with great curiosity, so I have many interests. Absolutely, reading is indispensable in my life. I think everyone here must have experienced the process of falling in love with books. My interest in reading is the influence of my grandmother. When I was a little girl, I lived with my grandparents. I was so naughty that I could not fall asleep quietly every night. My grandmother had no choice but to tell me stories. Little by little, as a habit, she began to read varied books for me before going to bed, such as fairy tales, famous books, stories of history and famous persons. From then on, my interest was totally aroused. After my school age, I began to read by myself. It is said that I was always seen reading books alone tranquilly with a huge dictionary in my summer and winter holidays. I like to read books about history, literature folklore, geography, religion as well as eminent persons. Now I still insist on reading before sleeping no matter what kind of book it is. Perhaps as a result of reading and my sign of Taurus, I have a quiet and amiable disposition.
