For some random reasons, I feel like all nurses are..overweight..Please don't hate me for saying this (it's just some sorta silly stereotypes, like "Asians are good at math"..lol, so please don't take it personal)..
Anyway, I just had the BEST shadowing experience at ER today! The doc was incredibly nice and patient to me; the nurses were so easy-going and we got along really well; the tech guy was so damn funny and I just couldn't stop laughing; the EMT boys were amazingly good-looking..Trust me, you have no idea how happy I was :P
Let's start with the doc..Hmm, he was average looking but had this perfect personality. He was humorous and caring. He knew I was really nervous today (cuz today was my first day at ER) and I could tell that he really cared for me..:) OMG, he even paid for my lunch.(I was like..what?! Well, I was definitely blown away)..When I almost fell in love with him, he asked me "hey, did I show you my wife's pics?"..meh..lol..well, okie, nvm then..I wonder what my face looked like at that moment..haha..(by the way, his wife is really cute).
Some nurses were a little bit rough, but I still couldn't resist laughing at her "phone greetings", "Yo, this is ER, what do you want?" Obviously she knew the guy who called, or she wouldn't say something like that..An older nurse even brought some chocolate treats and offered me some..When I said "bye" to her, she gave a big bear hug and wished me luck..I had tears in my eyes, LITERALLY!
This really good-looking guy R told me "don't get discouraged if it doesn't work out the first time..you know, everything would be worked out perfectly..eventually"..We talked about our schools, future careers, and some other fun stuff..I'm pretty sure that we can be good friends some day..He would absolutely be a fun person to hang out with..
Now I'm just very emotional (wanna cry, lol) and grateful. I thought all docs were kinda cocky/arrogant,and all nurses were mean to people, but now I completely changed my silly/stupid opinions toward them. I guess sometimes you will never know someone well enough until you really try to get to know them..I was discouraged and defeated, but now I'm just sooooooooo ready for tomorrow's challenge..
Hey, Bring it on!
