关于他肩膀上这堆东西他也有说法：
A series of fanciful legends has developed about the origin of aiguillettes. One account relates that when certain European troops behaved reprehensibly on the field of battle, their commander decided to hang certain of them. The troops asked to be given a chance to redeem themselves and started wearing a rope and spike about their shoulders with the promise that if they ever behaved badly again, they were ready to be hanged on the spot. It is further related that these troops covered themselves with glory thereafter.
关于那堆碎带子（应该是指肩膀上不明物体？）的由来有一系列有趣的传说。其中之一是说某一支欧洲军队在战场上表现不佳，他们的指挥官决定要把他们其中一些人给绞死。这只军队官兵就要求说给他们个戴罪立功的机会，从此他们就穿着肩膀上带钉子和绳子的衣服警示自己如果再次表现不佳他们就做好当场被绞死的准备。从此这只军队就无往不利啦~~~
