As the hotfix is reaching its finalsteps, we’regoing to be doing a slightly different PR today. Instead of the Far East, wewill stay a little closer to home and take a leisurely trip on the OrientExpress to the Middle East. Whilst we won’t go intodetails just yet about our ongoing Ottoman rework, we will lift the veil a tadon what will come with some parts even going into the long awaited hotfix.

Changes to the Map
地图更改
First we’ll take a look at the states of theLevant which has received a few additions and border adjustments. The mostobvious one here is going to be Kuwait which has been formally returned to theOttoman Empire after its short tenure as harbour of Jabal Shammar. FurtherNorth, the states of Baghdad and Mosul have also seen their border adjusted tobetter fit the religious frontier and simplify affairs for the Ottomans andpost-Ottoman tags. More about those later ;). To the West, Greater Syria hasreceived a few additions in the forms of Homs and Haifa. Long Beyrut, bothdream and nightmare for any Maronite, is no more and in its place we have addedMt Lebanon based on the Mt Lebanon Mutasarrifate.

FurtherSouth a larger change was made as we have shaken up the Rashidi-Saudi warfairly substantially and adjusted the states to fit this new scenario.

Changesto the Arab Conflict

Coming in ahotfix near you soonTM, the two Arab minors will get a little extra inpreparation for the Ottoman rework. Qatar, Bahrain and the Trucial States havebeen given to Jabal Shammar who has with this change received a substantialmanpower buff. This new distribution of Emirs however is not going to be astatic one and to better emulate the waning influence of the Ottoman Empire inthe wake of Black Monday, the Saudis will be given a set of decisions to tryand bring those states over to their side. The conflict between the two nationshas also been pushed back to September 1936, giving both a bit more time toprepare and accommodate for this change. To do so they have both received aunique set of decisions with the Saudi ones centered around using the Ikhwan toraid the surrounding lands for manpower and equipment whilst the Rashidis willbe able to, at a hefty price, receive equipment from their Ottoman benefactors.
为了给奥斯曼重制做准备，我们会在马上到来的更新中微调两个阿拉伯次强。舍迈尔山获得了卡塔尔、巴林和特鲁西尔诸国，同时也获得了大量的人力。不过，这几个埃米尔国不会一直保持对舍迈尔山忠诚，为了模拟奥斯曼帝国在黑色星期一之后的衰落，沙特可以通过决议把这三个省份抢过去。两国之间的冲突也被延迟到了1936年九月，这样两国就可以拥有更多准备时间，适应我们做出的更改。两国还获得了独特的决议：沙特可以调动伊赫万部队，去周围的土地上劫掠人口和装备；拉希德可以花大代价去奥斯曼老爹那里换装备。

FutureMiddle Eastern and Caucasian Plans

In tandem withour colleagues in China, the Middle Eastern team has not been twiddling itsthumbs as we ourselves are working on our own additions. Without giving toomany details, the war between the Cairo Pact and the Porte will be changed andCaucasian nations thus far left out of the fun will be able to influence theconflict. Azerbaijan, Georgia and Armenia will all three receive their owntrees/events/paths.
不要因为中国制作组公开的内容那么详细，就觉得我们中东制作组一直在摸鱼：我们可也在努力地工作着呢！这里我简单的说一下：我们更改了开罗条约和土耳其之间的战争，现在高加索这个被抛弃的孩子也能影响这场战争了。高加索三国都会有自己的国策/事件/道路。


TheOttoman Empire will also receive a complete make-over although the famous ‘Osmanrides out’ event chain will be kept. The emphasis onCentralisation vs Decentralisation will be intensified as we will attempt togive the Ottomans two completely different playstyles.

Everyone'sfavourite Turk will also be making a return en large as the Grand Vizier of theOttoman Empire in 1936 in an attempt to finally throw of the misnomer it haslong been suffering from and retake the Ottoman seat at the table of GreatPow-...oh wait that’s less good.

Inaddition to the Ottomans themselves, we will also be giving trees to a widearray of releasables in the region and refurbishing some of the others. Turkeywill evidently receive a tree of its own but it doesn’t stopthere as Syria, Mesopotamia, Kurdistan, Lebanon, Hejaz, Palestine and a mysterytag will all also receive their own trees. Whilst all of this is still off forquite some time, we wanted to give you all a little heads up of what is furtherup the pipeline.
