ux0:bgdl/t/ (updates folder? Manually install updates?)
I've seen online that some games, such as Minecraft, can be updated by extracting the update zip into the game folder. There's nothing like this for terraria yet so I was wondering how to update it with the regular PS Vita update (which of course runs us into errors).
I noticed that upon the initial install of the game, "ux0:bgdl/t/" is normally empty, but when you download an update for a game, the downloaded folder goes in there. There's a couple of number folders and all but inside the download you'll find a similar folder to the game folder with some changes (new files - at least one new folder and a changelog further in, steroid.suprx is gone, data.vfs is larger). I tried replacing the files in "ux0:app/PCSB00405" with the files in the PCSB00405 folder in the download but I ran into a different error when starting-up terraria (obviously cancelling the install first before that).
Of course, when you can cancel the install, this also deletes the download and "ux0:bgdl/t/" becomes empty. I think it's obvious that this is the update folder for games, my only question is whether we might be able to manually install updates by copying files from "ux0:bgdl/t/" to "ux0:app/[YOUR GAME]/" via molecular shell.
Then again I'm sort of new to this hacking scene and I apologize if this is the same way people have gotten updates for dumped games such as Minecraft using this folder ("ux0:bgdl/t/") and some tool chain - This is news to me though so that'd why I'm posting.
If not, it'd be cool if we could figure this out and maybe manually install our updates using molecular shell's copy & past function ☺.
