These 7 young sub-adult lions were following a huge herd of buffalo that was passing through, and as soon as darkness struck, they were on the move. They went for a large female buffalo, but as buffaloes do, the rest of her family turned on the lions and were quick to form a rescue mission and save the female, injuring one of the young male lions in the process. The young male was later seen licking his wounds, maybe more a hit to his ego than anything else... This morning they attempted to hunt some Blue Wildebeest but were also unsuccessful.
