四、职位描述：TTSResearch Engineer
Position Summary:
Reporting to TTS research manager, theresearch engineer will conduct innovative research and development with focuson Chinese TTS Front-end/Back-end technologies. As part of the TTS R&Dorganization, he/she will be contributing to the development of text-to-speechtechnology for all types of markets with focus on Chinese languages/dialects.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Casting and coaching of VoiceTalents; recording monitoring.
- Designing and checking text corporafor recording
- Checking and annotating the speechdatabase
- Testing and checking TTS voices tosupport the improvements
- Supporting our professional servicesteams and contributing to customer project success.
- Assisting senior team members inresearch tasks.
- Contributing to the improvement,design, implementation, evaluation and optimization of voice development toolsand processes.
Required Skills:
- Fluent in English and could writehigh quality documentation.
- Speaking at least two other Asian languages
- Experience with acoustic phoneticsis recommended.
- Experience in TTS voice development is a strong asset
- Working in Windows environments comes naturally to you.
- Programming skills are a plus. Basicexperience with scripting languages like Perl or Python is a requirement.
Preferred Skills:
-A creative team player, you are willing to take initiative, and you are goaloriented.
- A strong sense of precision and quality in your daily job.
Education:
MScor PhD degree in philology, phonetics, computational linguistics or anotherrelevant field.
