The ambivalent legacies of the Cultural 大哥ming were reflected in the members of the Political Bureau chosen just after the 11th Party Congress had convened in August 1977. Like 划过feng, almost half of the members were individuals whose careers had gained from the Cultural Revolution; the other half were, like Dxp, the Cultural 大哥ming‘s victims. While this balance would be reached only after a period of years, the tide quickly began to turn decidedly in favour of the latter group.
