On Nov.14th, Roger Federer lost the extraordinary final group match 6-4, 6-7(3) 5-7 to Andy Murray. Because of this loss, Roger couldn't get into the semi-final. This was his first time that he couldn't get into the semi-final among his seven Tennis Masters Cups. He tried, though he couldn't beat his opponent. He tried, though he suspended the match for three times because of his injuries on his back.

After the match, a journalist asked Roger why he didn't quit his match when he was so badly injured. He said "I don't quit once I step on court. Guess you got to drill me one in the eye, then maybe. But otherwise I don't quit". Everyone was moved by these words. How strong Roger is! So, Roger interpretated to us what a real king is. We can't believe that if there's no Roger Federer, how would tennis ever go on. Without him, there's no place to belong.

The 2008 is a both special and hard year for Roger. He lost many things such as his Australian and Wimbledon Open and his No.1 ranking. But he never lose his desire, confidence and his fans all over the world. Still, we appreciate every emotion he gave us. Now we can taste and talk about all those epic moments for many many more years. This is the last year the Tennis Masters Cup is held in Shanghai and the last time we can watch Roger's TMC match with our own eyes, but we can't deny it is not goodbye. Roger's attitude and spirit towards tennis will be memorized forever. And from next year, we will have another tennis tournament in Shanghai every year.

Actually, I’m a super fan of Roger Federer. I learned a lot from him, such as his good temper, his active attitude towards win and loss and his life. He never lose will. He always believe in himself. And so on…how can I write down all this by this small pen? 

Roger, we are all looking forward to your tournament in Shanghai next year. And, this year, it’s not goodbye between you and us.
