What was your own high school experience like?

Leighton: I hated high school. In most shows and movies, the whole idea is that high school makes up the best years of your life when it’s really the most awkward years. You’re lucky if high school represents your best years.
Leighton：我恨高中。在大部分的电视剧和电影中，关于高中生活的描述都是那是你一生中的最好时光，而事实上是你最糟糕的时光。如果高中代表了你人生的美好时刻，你真的非常幸运。
I went to Beverly Hills High, which most people associate with being popular, rich and trendy. I wasn’t really part of that. I was acting already at the time so I wasn’t focused on that. I wasn’t popular. I didn’t have the nice clothes, bags or anything. In a way, I was kind of a wallflower. It’s funny now because I was around girls that I model my character after. The girls that I didn’t interact with in school had all the nice clothes, the quarterback boyfriends and all that stuff.

Leighton Meester: I have one friend that I've had since I was 11. Other than that, my friends are from the past few years. I don't really keep in touch with anybody from high school, oddly enough. But yeah, I keep in touch with just real people who are nice to me.
我有一个从11岁就结识的老友（leighton 11岁搬来纽约，三年后搬去洛杉矶）除了这个朋友之外，我的朋友都是过去几年结识的。我从不与高中的任何校友联络，很古怪吧。只不过，我一直和对我友善的人来往。
