Eminem has tossed his hat into the ring of Presidential politics with a full throated endorsement of Democratic Presidential nominee, Senator Barack Obama.
In an interview with Zane Lowe on BBC Radio 1, the Detroit rapper cited the current state of the U.S. economy as being one of the biggest reasons he’d be voting for Obama. “I’ll vote Barack,” Em said. “I mean, I know we are going into a recession. Pardon the cliché but we need something to change. I think Barack would be a breath of fresh air, to get in there and actually get what’s left of the Bush administration out the door.”
The rapper, who recently released a freestyle entitled “Relapse”, said he has been at work on a new album of the same name, and Dr. Dre will produce it.
