SYNOPSIS
Based on "The Assassination of Ma," this story is about the killing of general Ma Xinyi and was filmed by Zhang Che in 1973 as "The Blood Brothers". In "The Warlords", Imperial General Pang Qingyun (Jet Li) survives a battle that devastated his entire battalion. The story follows Pang as he fights for his life and tries to bring peace to the people. The three brothers, Pang, Zhao and Taiping must rise above their conflicts of interest and understand each others motives. This film focuses on the importance of loyalty and how sacrifice plays a role in for these brothers to overcome political upheaval.
