Chapter 13: ...Literally Dumped!

You ignored the faint noises beyond the room door, thinking that it was the twins playing a game of tag or playing out another of their own duets again. It was nothing new to you since they were always like that, though tonight, you thought that they were a lot more rowdy.
Turning to the side to feel the coolness of the pillow, you soon began to doze off again, only to realize that things had suddenly gone really quiet… A little too quiet. You thought that that the twins had finally undergone sleep mode, but there’s a feeling in your gut telling you that something’s not so right.
“...I think too much” Groaning under your breath, you pulled the covers up, soon able to make out faint footsteps, slowly inching towards your door. In your mind, it was probably Miku, so you didn’t worry too much over that. She’s always coming in to wish you a fair night, and ifthat’s not it, she made it her unrequested duty to bring water into your room: and you appreciated that.

你忽略房间门外微弱的噪音，认为是双胞胎在玩捉人游戏或者又是他们另外自己玩的二重唱。这对你来说不是什么新鲜事，因为他们总是这样的，虽然今晚，你认为他们更加吵闹。
转向侧面感受枕头的凉意，你很快就开始打瞌睡，只是意识到突然变得好安静...有点太安静了。你认为那双胞胎终于进入睡眠模式，但是你的直觉告诉你是有什么不太对劲。
“……是我想太多了。”随着你的叹息声，你把盖子拉了上来，很快就能够听到微弱的脚步声，慢慢地朝着你的门走过来。你心想，这可能是未来，所以你没有担心太多。她总是进来向你道一声晚安，如果不是这样，她会做些没必要的任务把水带进你的房间：你也很感激这点。

“…Come in, Miku. The door’s open”
As soon as the door knob had made a full turn, you pressed your face against the pillow at the eerie ‘creaking’ noise of the door as it was pushed ajar.
The footsteps were now a lot louder and more lucid, soon to approach your bed, just standing next to your night stand and casting a rather uncanny shadow over your sleeping form. As stated before, you thought of this ‘intruder’ as Miku, you did address the android as thought.
“…You know Miku, you don’t have to check up on me every night. Thanks though” you smiled, soon opening your eyes to notice the casted shadow of your visitor. However… The shadow lacked the distinguished shape of Miku, in fact, it was way too tall and masculine for the tealette. That shadow looked heart achingly familiar…
“Hatsune …Miku? No silly, Masuta. I am the only vocaloid here. The others are no longer available to you, but I’d gladly take their place”
That voice was all too familiar to you, and your eyes had widened at what you were hearing. …It couldn’t be Kaito.How could he revive himself after being logged off?
Quickly tossing the covers off, you turned around to face a rather messy Kaito. He was heavily covered in what appears to be blood stains, with a tainted kitchen knife in his hand. The most distinguished thing about him? His eyes… they were red now.
“……进来吧，未来。门没锁。”就在那门把手做了个完整的旋转，你听到那门在阴森恐怖地“吱吱”作响然后被推开，你把你的脸按在枕头上。
现在那脚步声越来越大，越来越清晰，很快就接近你的床，就站在你的床头柜旁边，并在你睡眠的形态下形成一个令人毛骨悚然的阴影。如之前所述，你以为这个“入侵者”是未来，你想到你的确这样称呼那个安卓。
“……你知道吗未来，你不需要每晚都来检查我。不过还是谢谢你。”你微笑道，很快睁开你的双眼发现到来者的阴影。然而......这个阴影缺乏未来特殊的形状，事实上，对于那绿茶发者来说，实在是过于高大和阳刚了。那阴影看起来熟悉得心痛……
“初音…未来？别蠢了，Masuta。我是这里唯一的 Vocaloid。其他人已经不再对你有用，但是我很乐意取代他们的位置。”
那个声音对你来说太熟悉了，你的双眼在听到那个声音时睁大起来...不可能是 Kaito。他在被注销后是如何自己醒过来的？
赶快将被子抛开，你转身就面对一个相当混乱的Kaito。他似乎被大量的血迹覆盖着，手里有一个满是血污的菜刀。他最突出的部分吗？是他的眸子……现在是赤红色了。

“O‐o‐h God… Kaito, what did you do?!”
You shakily enquired, signs of fright and anxiety filling your expression.
Putting the knife away, Kaito began bowing to you with a fulfilling smile, proud of himself for annihilating the rest.
“I did what I saw could only be done, masuta. I assumed to be special to you, but you treated the others the same, if not better than you do me. I was here first, masuta, and I enjoy being needed by you, but the others were putting that at jeopardy‐ what was I supposed to do? … For masuta to only look at me again… Please Masuta..”
He gazed upon you, while still maintaining a bow.
“‐do not abandon me… I am happy to be here with just you. There’s no need for the others, and there is certainly no need to replace me, masuta”
Blinking numerous times, you began to wonder‐ how did Kaito even know about being replaced? He couldn’t have possibly overheard you and your sister talking, right? More importantly, you were more concerned about his violent streak. He killed your sister’s dog, and now he had undergone a total massacre‐ what else will he do?
“Kaito… You… Really killed them…” you didn’t know how to put things into words, staring right back at him as he smiled at you. …Smiled, as if what he had done was a good thing.
“哦—哦—天……Kaito，你做了什么？！”
你颤抖地问道，恐惧和焦虑的迹象尽显在你的表情上。
将那把刀放开，Kaito 开始用一个愉快与满足的微笑朝你鞠躬，为自己歼灭其余的人而感到骄傲。
“我做了我所看到能做的事，Masuta。我认为我对于你是特别的，可是你对待其他人一样，若不是比你对我好的话。我是第一个来这里的，Masuta，我也很享受被你需要，但是其他人威胁了那点—— 那么我该怎么做呢？……让 Masuta 再次看着我一个……请 Masuta……”
他凝视着你，同时还保持着鞠躬的姿态。
“——不要抛弃我……我很高兴能和你在一起。没有其他人的需要，当然也没有必要替换我，Masuta。”
眨了几次眼，你开始怀疑—— Kaito 到底是如何知道他要被替换的？他不可能会听到你和你妹妹的谈话的，对吗？比较重要的是，你更关心的是他的暴力倾向。他杀了你妹妹的狗，然后现在他还进行一场大屠杀——他还会做什么？
“Kaito……你……真的杀了他们……”你不懂得要如何组织句子，直直瞪着在对你微笑的他。……微笑着，仿佛他所做的是件好事。

But the main reason Kaito was smiling like that was because he had finally punished you, a vindictive behavior to play out his envious and scornful emotions, remembering what you did to him earlier on, your futile attempts to protect the others‐ oh how you did hurt him… Several times actually! But Kaito chose to overlook them because you were simply human, and like his previous owners, you too are flawed.
“I had to do it masuta, but I understand you could not because you shared feelings with them, I believe? You did bring them here; therefore, I see where it might have been difficult for you to let them go… however”
He leaned his head to the side, still maintaining that eerie smile of his.
“‐I was here first, and that was unacceptable to me… In fact, many of the things you did to me were quite hurtful; but don’t worry masuta, I forgive you. I forgive you for the things you did and said to me… I can never be angry with masuta~”
可 Kaito 有那样的笑容主要原因是他终于惩罚了你，一种宣泄他妒嫉与沮丧情绪的报复行为，记得你之前对他做过什么，你尝试保护其他人的徒劳——哦你是有多伤害他……实际上好多次了！但是Kaito 选择无视那些因为你不过是个人类，像他之前的主人，你也是脆弱的。
“我必须这么做 Masuta，但是我明白你不能因为你和他们有共同感受，我想是吧？你的确把他们带来这里；所以，我认为对你来说放走他们是困难的……可是”
他将他的头歪去一边，依然保持他那阴森恐怖的笑容。
“我是第一个来这里的，而那些是我不能接受的...事实上，你对我做的很多事都相当伤人；但是别担心 Masuta，我原谅你。我原谅你对我做过与说过的事……我永远不会生Masuta 的气〜”

You stared at him, actually gaining new fear, but at the same time... You pitied Kaito. Your fearful expression had immediately changed to one of sympathy, now averting your eyes out of guilt. This was truly your fault.
Once Kaito had noted the change in your expression, he had immediately taken your hand into his, soon to realize that you were frightened upon contact.
“Please don’t be frightened masuta~”
He cooed, observing your confused ulterior. “My intentions were not to scare you, I truly do not want you to fear me,now that I will be the only companion by your side”
He placed your hand by his face, gently kissing your wrist. It was hard to decipher whether this was mutual or intimate but whichever way, Kaito has fallen in love? With what’s going on, it’s not impossible for a robot.
Honestly, you did pity him, but that doesn’t mean Kaito’s not dangerous. You’ve already made up your mind about what to do, since Kaito clearly poses a threat to others around you. If he mercilessly slaughtered a dog and much less his own kind, then what would stop him from murdering a human?! You just can’t keep Kaito.
You watched him quietly leaning against your palm, finally feeling at peace, now that he’s alone with you.
“…Kaito” you sighed, no longer feeling fear, but extreme guilt.
你盯着他，实际上内心升起了新的恐惧感，但是同时……你同情 Kaito。你害怕的神情立刻转变成怜悯，现在将你愧疚的眼神转移别处。这真的是你的错。
在 Kaito 意识到你表情的变化，他立刻携起你的手带去他那里，很快就发现你在被碰触时感到害怕。
“请你别害怕 Masuta~”
他柔声低语道，观察你隐藏起来的困惑。“我的意图不是吓唬你，我真的不想让你害怕我，现在我将是你身边唯一的伴侣。”
他将你的手放在他的脸上，温柔地亲吻你的手腕。很难解释这是共同感还是亲密，但无论是哪种说法，Kaito 已经坠入爱河？正在发生的这种事，机械人是不可能的。
说实话，你是同情他，但这不代表 Kaito 不危险。你已经决定你该做什么了，因为Kaito 明显对你周围的人构成威胁。 如果他可以无情地屠杀了一只狗，更不用说自己的同类，那什么会阻止他谋杀一个人呢？！你不能保留Kaito 了。
你看着他静静地靠在你的手掌上，终于平静下来，现在他和你一起独处了。
“……Kaito”你叹道，再也不感到害怕，却是极度的罪恶感。

You slowly slid from you bed to kneel before the possessive machine, leaning into him and giving him that moment of peace. He’ll at leasthave that, since this would probably be his last memory.
Kaito, was actually surprised by your actions, given that you would often scowl or pull away.
“…M‐masuta” he murmured with a slight blush ﴾yes could blush﴿, thinking that you had finally saw things his way.
“…I’m really sorry. This was really all my fault, Kaito. I should have done something to avoid this lot earlier” you whispered, sort of wincing at Kaito’s quick return of your embrace, resting his cold head against your shoulders.
“That’s alright, masuta. I have already told you that you are forgiven” he smiled, not realizing that you were slowly sneaking your hands behind his back.
“…Say? Masuta. Does this mean I am your favorite again? Does this make me special? We’ll be together, right masuta? I did promise you that!”
He sounded so childish… You forgot how child‐like he can be sometimes, which also means that Kaito was gullible.
“…O‐of course you’re my favourite, Kaito. I promise we’ll always be together” you lied; a way to keep Kaito distracted as you quickly raced your hand over to the kitchen knife he had left on the ground.
“‐…However, that doesn’t mean I’ll keep you, Kaito! I’m sorry!” Immediately bringing down the weapon, you had stabbed Kaito in the back, ultimately damaging his own wirings and alarming the android.
“M‐mastua?! WhAt aRe yOu doiNg tO Me?!”
你慢慢地从你的床上滑向这个独占欲强的机械面前，靠在他身上給他那刻的宁静。他至少应该拥有此刻，因为这或许是他最后的记忆了。
Kaito，实际上十分惊喜于你的举动，因为你通常会怒目而视或者避开。
“……M – Masuta。” 他微微脸红（是的，会脸红）地喃喃自语道，以为你终于理解他的做法了。
“……真的很对不起。这全是我的错，Kaito。我很早之前应该做些什么来避免这些事……”你低语道，在Kaito 回应你的拥抱时有几分抽搐，他将他冰冷的头部歇在你的肩膀上。
“没关系的，Masuta。我跟你说过你被宽恕了。”他微笑道，没有意识到你在慢慢地将你的手偷偷移到他的后背上。
“……说吧？Masuta。这样的意思是我又是你的最爱了吗？这样是不是让我变得特别了？我们会在一起的，是吗 Masuta？我已经向你承诺过了！”
他听起来是多么孩子气……你忘了他有时候是如此天真无邪，这也意味着 Kaito 容易上当。
“…当—— 当然你是我的最爱，Kaito。我答应我们会一直在一起的。”你撒谎；一种保持Kaito 分心的方式，你赶快将你的手抄去那把他留在地上的菜刀。
“…可是，这并不代表我会保留你，Kaito！对不起！”立刻将那把武器落下，你捅入 Kaito 的后背，最终破坏了他的电线，这个安卓不由得感到惊恐。
“M-Masuta？！你在对我做什么？！”

Kaito’s eyes had widened once he began to process the pain, finally piecing things together. This was your intention after all!
“You’re a menace to anyone around me, Kaito! I don’t know what you might do in the future and I can’t even guarantee anyone else’s safety!”
With that, you had applied pressure to the wound, pulling out the knife along with a few of Kaito’s microchips, impairing the android’s processors and mobility as he fell limp against your body.
“… So that’s why, I had to do this, Kaito. I’m really sorry” you frowned, feeling as if you had just murdered a human being!
Poor Kaito was shocked to know that you would do this to him; his very own master wanted him uninstalled. This was way worse than being replaced!
“…M‐masuta!! No! STOP!! You‐“
With a final thrust of the knife, Kaito’s voice had chipped out, followed by his entire systems. You were sure you had done it right this time‐ putting him out of his misery like that… There’s no way he could survive that…

Kaito 的眸子不禁睁大在他开始处理疼痛感的时候，终于将事情始末拼凑起来。归根究底这才是你的目的！！

可怜的 Kaito 得知你会对他这样做后十分震惊；他的 Master 要 uninstall 他。这种结果比被替换还要糟糕！
“…M—Masuta！！不要啊！停下！你—”
随着那把刀最后的刺入，Kaito 的声音已经被切断，接着是他整个系统。你很肯定你这次真的做对了—— 以那样的方式把他从痛苦中摆脱出来……这种情况他下是不可能活下来了……

Kaito’s empty hardware was left to lie out alone by the dumpster, red essence oozing from the open wound on his back, a few broken wires and circuitry sticking from its surface. That was now the perfect insignia of how much his recent master had betrayed him.
His eyes dull and lifeless, staring into the horizon of nothingness; however, that does not guarantee Kaito’s ‘death’.
Within mere seconds, Kaito’s slender fingers were able to slowly regain motion, idly scraping along the harsh surface of the ground as the rest of the machine began to slowly reboot itself. It all turns out that you hadn’t properly destroyed his wirings after all. Voca‐droids were made to be durable, but Kaito alone deserved a specialized definition for the word ‘resilience’.
It’d take a while before Kaito’s entire body will be able to move and function again, but when that time comes, like a wounded but angered predator; he’ll be coming right back for you, but this time, his intentions will be very different.

身为他的 Master你对他所做的一切，你真的相信你可以 uninstall 他？……那么这意味着你也是“故障”的，对吧？
和其他人一样，Kaito认为他的 Master 也必须被 uninstall，这也是他异常执意要完成的事。

下一集的情节就是这样，Kaito 在房子内追杀 Master 的时候玩猫抓鼠躲迷藏的游戏。
