My colleague is going to wedding palace quite soon. She told me she wanted to get marry intensively, the family life was quite suitable for her personality. She want to be a home maker. To make dinner for her husband, to clean their cozy house everyday. It’s her wonderful and dramatice life. However, I don’t think I also like this style of life. I always think that office lady is better than home maker. Because to be an office lady, I can catch my dream more easily. If I am a house keeper, perhaps I can only stay in home and all the dreams have become far away from me.

The responsibility is the most important thing to establish a family. But it’s a pity that more and more people have ignored it. Especially the Gernaration Y. To be an one child, childern almost think of themselves rather than standing on others side. We all want to gain or catch something but give or pay out something. Talk about this, I found our team-working is so bad in the Olympic Games. Why Chinese athletes can only win one-man item, but football, volleyball, basketball are bad performance. People said it was our weak body erengy. But I doult this viewpoint. I think team-working is the basical element of winning or failing a contest.

So to establish a family, two-people-teamworking is also important. Husband an wife act different role in the family. They are both important to a family. I read an article in ‘reader’ magazine when I was in 1996. The article titled ‘Husband to be a wife in one week.’ It’s a wife’s diary. She said his husband couldn’t do well in household such as cleaning dish, making breakfast, helping their child wear clothes, etc. However, the wife also couldn’t do well in the household which men did. Such as changing car tire, cleaning the weeds, mending the household electric appliances, etc. So man and woman are both important to a family.

My romantic colleague told me a story last time. She said husband and wife like two hedgehogs. If they stayed too closely, they would prick to each other, however, if they stadyed too far away, they would feel cold in winter. So how to deal with this problem? They should whittle down some of their stings, then they can stayed closely to keep warm. It’s a good metaphor for a family. Marriage is not possession,but donation.
