SU粉丝推测：YellowTail（Onion他爹）是黄钻

我知道我应该在Stevenbomb4之前发布这篇推测，我早就写好了但因为太懒没发。
允许我解释一下，像你们很多人一样，我在Tumblr上闲逛的时候很快被“Onion是黄钻”的
粉丝推测吸引了(what
但是像大多数事物一样，粉丝推论是潜移默化的。
我的推测是，黄钻不是Onion，而是他爸！

关于网友的推测
第一件让SU粉丝们(我觉得)开始推测Onion是黄钻的事是他和宝石人一样没有耳朵。
我们看到过长耳朵的Amethyst的片段，我认为这是Amethyst的一个自主选择。她在地球上出
生长大，想通过这种细微的方式来融入人类。美术设计对这个剧这么重要，Onion没有耳朵
如果是意外或者巧合那就太奇怪了。也就是说，剧组设定的Onion本身就没有耳朵。
Rebecca Sugar(编剧)是Invader Zim的粉丝。Incader Zim这部剧里的外星人的标志特点
就是没有耳朵。
换句话讲，没有耳朵=外星人=宝石人
第二个推测来源就是“Onion Trade”这集。
Onion Trade主线：Amethyst给了Steven一把复制手杖，并且告诉他他应该能弄清怎么用这
个魔法器具。之后，Onion仅仅通过看就学会了怎么用复制手杖。整部剧里好几次提到宝石
人很“magic”，所以这也在暗示我们Onion有些特别。

原PO的推测
Onion的爹，Yellow Tail，经常长时间的离开，并且他的家人很珍惜和他见面，一般来讲是
因为他是个渔夫，他的工作总是让他不得不离开。但这也可能是回母星的一个掩饰。此外，
我们唯一一次看到YallowTail回来就是为了跟Onion说了几句话，就像Onion在向他报告。
可能Onion是半宝石人间谍？
另一件我们知道的关于YellowTail的就是，他有自己的奇怪的独特的语言，仅仅能与他儿子
交流。(lz也这么认为，因为SourCream听不懂YellowTail在说什么！)
我们见过宝石人有自己的文字，为什么没有语言呢？？(意指YellowTail在说宝石星语言)
最后，我们只见过YellowTail和Grey有互动，而且他们看起来关系还挺好的。我们知
道Grey炒鸡对Steven自豪，所以不用YellowTail说，Grey也会跟他讲Steven和宝石人
的事。(可能Grey对于YellowTail来说只是一个信息提供者)
在OnionFriend这集强调了Onion一个特性：他炒鸡不爱吃食物（Lz提一句，Onion在11
集中喝过饮料）。人类需要进食才能生存，而宝石人不需要，吃不吃看心情。Steven
是半个人，需要进食，但如果Steven只是因为想吃才吃东西呢？也就是说他不是必须进
食？

最后一条证据跟Onion或YellowTail没有直接关系，但它同我的观点一样。
在“Steven the Sword Fighter”这集，观看武士电影时，Pearl表示反派一直出现在背景
里，很明显这是个主要角色。如果编剧在用这种方式暗示我们反派(重要角色)在哪呢？很
多网友觉得这点是在指Rose和Lion，但我觉得在Onion和Yellow身上也通用。
Onion是个奇葩。从他第一次出现开始就一直保持一个邪恶的形象(如图片左上角)。
我们可以注意到在最近几集里他尝试着进一步接近Steven。
更新：
我们知道宝石人及其厌恶噪音，而且，YellowTail不喜欢SourCream在屋里玩DJ。
连Steven自己也怀疑过Onion是不是人类。
另一条推测是，YellowDimond通过某种方式得知了Steven的诞生，而且对宝石人/人混种产
生了浓厚的兴趣。所以，YellowDimond在下级宝石不知情的情况下悄悄模仿了这个实验。
但YellowDimond才不会像Rose一样放弃自己的物理形态呢。YellowDimond由此变身成了
Yellow Tail，并创造出了YellowTail的性格，找了一个人用以繁殖的人类女性Vidalia(甜
洋葱)。所以说，Onion和Steven一样，是半宝石人，但由于母方是人类，Onion身上才没有
宝石，也没有宝石人的魔力。就这样，YellowDimond不但没有耽误母性的工作，又在不引起
轰动的情况下与人类生活。

One last piece of evidence I offer doesn't even directly relate to Onion or Yellow Tail, but it backs up what I'm trying to say. In 'Steven the Sword Fighter', while watching a samurai movie, Pearl remarks that the reveal of the villain was obvious because they had been in the background the whole time. This seems like just one cute line out of hundreds, but these writers are very clever. What if they're using it to tell us where to look for the villains? What if this throwaway line from early Season 1 holds the key to everything? Many people have interpreted this line to mean Rose or even Lion(that one would be cool too), but I think this applies to Onion and Yellow T.
Onion is weird. He has been since his first appearance, and since then he's looked pretty evil at times(see: the terrifying top right-hand image!) Yes, we've seen him in more recent episodes seemingly making an effort to befriend Steven, but that could just be to get closer to him. While the idea that he could be Yellow Diamond is great(and it would lead to these images which upgrades it to awesome), I personally find the Yellow Tail theory to be both juicier and more plausible. Think about this: we know Gems have a strong aversion to loud noises(probably something to do with the resonance of their physical bodies since Gem Destabilizers look like tuning forks), and apparently Yellow Tail HATES it when Sour Cream plays his rave music in the house. *X-Files music plays in the distance* Steven himself has even shown doubts that Onion is human.
So how does this work? What's going on here under this proposed theory, and if Onion isn't Yellow Diamond, what is he? Well the way I see it, Yellow Diamond somehow got word of Steven's birth, and became intrigued by the notion of a Gem/Human hybrid. That's right, Jasper, your boss has already seen this. It was kept very hush hush, though, so lower level Gems had no idea. Yellow Diamond wanted to replicate the process, but obviously noted that losing your physical form to do so is a flaw. Thinking of a way around this setback, Yellow Diamond put herself in the place of Rose, but rather than shapeshift a female reproductive system like she did, YD instead shapeshifted a male one, creating the persona of Yellow Tail(real subtle) and picking a random human female(Vidalia) for use in the experiment. The result was an offspring that was half-Gem, but because it gestated in a human it inherited no gem of its own. That's right; Onion is the same thing as Steven!..sort of. Lacking greater powers like Steven's but still inheriting certain Gem traits(no ears, not needing food, etc.), the experiment was deemed a failure. However, as evidenced by the Cluster, we know Homeworld likes to recycle old projects, so Yellow Diamond instead uses her offspring, still hardwired like a Gem and loyal to Homeworld, as a spy, someone who can live among the humans(and in close proximity to Steven no less) without arousing suspicion.
There are, I admit, a lot of holes in this theory, some of which sadly could only ever be filled if the theory happens to be true and the show gives us more details And yes, the recent reveal of Yellow Diamond, along with her personality and what her and Homeworld appear to know, makes this even more unlikely(darn me for not posting this sooner), but like I said, I'm not posting this because I know I'm right; I'm posting this because I think I'm right, and if I am I want my flag(for fun pretend it's the white rectangle at the bottom of this image) planted firmly in the ground already when the show gets there. Take from it what you will. Comment on it, add to it, debate me on it, flat out tell me I'm wrong if you want to. Me? I'm having fun. And if I am wrong? Then the show will surprise me with something else that I DIDN'T call! Win-win.
