Teen Wolf creator Jeff Davis talked to us about what Scott and his crew will be facing in the new season, all of those “Stydia” feelings, and what needs to happen if next season is really the end. See his answers below.
What can you tell us about the Nazi zombie that breaks loose at the very end?
Jeff Davis: He will be lurking about Season 6 and causing a lot of trouble. It may actually allow us to explore another episode in WWII. We had a lot of fun doing the fox and the wolf with the Japanese internment camp episode so we may revisit that.
Will he be the main big bad for Season 6 or will there be other threats to worry about?
There will be another threat that is worrisome. That has to do with the different mythology that we’re exploring for Season 6, which is a pretty big one for us and technically very difficult for us.

It’ll be three months. It’ll be the second semester of senior year. I’m not a fan of graduation scenes in TV, but they are barreling towards graduation. It’s going to cause a lot of anxiety for our main characters.
What is Kira’s (Arden Cho) mission with the skinwalkers and what does she need to learn to be able to come back to the pack?
Her goal is to learn to control the fox spirit within her. That’s basically why she goes back to the skin walkers. She wants to save her friends and finally put Theo in the ground as well, but also to be able to take care of herself. That’s something she wants to do.
Have we seen the last of Theo or should we not close the door on him yet?
I wouldn’t close the door on him just yet. We love Cody Christian both as an actor and a professional. It’s hard to say goodbye to him so you’ll have to wait and see.
At the beginning of the season the pack was farther apart than we’ve ever seen them. How would you save they’ve grown this season and what is their status heading into Season 6?

This kind of conflict, breaking them up, has only strengthened them. For us, we wanted to take them to the lowest point. We wanted to figure out what would happen to this group of friends if they broke up and all went their separate ways. We saw them back together again and I love that feeling. I love the stories that are comebacks. It was just another big test and conflict for us to put them through. One of the things that we’re really trying to do with Season 6 is show the strength of friendships and test that again. We’re taking it back to the story of Scott and Stiles’ (Dylan O’Brien) friendship and how meaningful that.

Malia (Shelley Hennig) was isolated for a lot of this season as she dealt with the Desert Wolf. Now that threat has been subdued will she fold back into the pack easily or are there still issues to resolve there?
She’s absolutely part of the pack again. We really wanted to give her a whole arc with her mother with that whole line of having to face her mother down and having to choose sides. She had to choose whether or not she was going to take that life. We love Shelley [Hennig] and her sense of humor so one of the things we want to get back to is Malia being a sort of foil for the other characters in terms of humorous scenes.

I don’t know! I’ve always kind of thought that the series would end with a kind of “the adventure continues” type of ending. One of the things I love about TV is that they tell these ongoing stories. We’ll have to wait and see.
What will be Scott’s major battle in Season 6?
Season 6 will bring in a new mythology and a very different problem. We’re big fans of genre in the writer’s room. With Season 5B we said, “This is going to be a monster movie.” With Season 6 we have a very clear idea that it’s going to be a ghost story.
